Lee began his career as a musician at the age of 14 with the Sydney band Noise Addict, but focused on his solo career when the band broke up in 1995. Career
Noise Addict
Lee's musical career began in 1993 with the band Noise Addict, who were signed to Steve Pavlovic's independent label Fellaheen Records, on the strength of a self-produced and distributed four-track demo recorded in Lee's bedroom. Pavlovic's connections brought the band to the attention of Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Beastie Boys' Mike D, both of whom released the band's material in the US. The group put out several releases on the Beasties' Grand Royal Records. These including the acoustic Young and Jaded EP in 1994, which contained Lee's Evan Dando tribute, "I Wish I Was Him." In 1995, Grand Royal released the band's only full length, the Brad Wood produced Meet the Real You. Noise Addict made a music video for the song "16", toured with Sebadoh, but then broke up. Lee was also briefly a member of the alternative act Gerling. In 2009 Lee recorded a new Noise Addict album, It was Never about the Audience, with a new lineup; Lou Barlow and Lara Meyerratken.
Ben Lee (born 1980 in Eastbourne, Sussex) is a British electric violinist and composer/producer. He is part of the two piece rock violin band FUSE, along with Linzi Stoppard.
Lee is popularly known as the "World's Fastest Electric Violinist" after setting a new Guinness world record playing "Flight of the Bumblebee" in 58.515 seconds at Rogue Studios, London, UK, on 14 November 2010.
For 4 years, Lee has also held the Guinness World Record for "World's Fastest Violin Player" – previously held by David Garrett – having performed "Flight of the Bumblebee" in 54.24 seconds in London, UK on 18 December 2011.
In 2012, The Discovery Channel named Ben Lee "Ultimate Superhuman" in its television show "Superhuman Showdown" after an international search for people with exceptional physical talents. Lee was examined by a panel of sports and neuro scientists including H A Berlin
In a collaboration with society jeweller Theo Fennell, Ben Lee & Linzi Stoppard created the world's first 24 carat gold plated electric violins encrusted with diamonds, sapphires and rubies.

R.J. Johnson/B. Lee Just 18 I've seen the world Done more than some their whole lives unfold Still at school just saving face But a month today I'll be leaving this place I've lived a million lives so far But I'm still naive and a broken heart I feel like I've heard it all before With a whole life ahead to hear a whole lot more You wouldn't believe half the things I've seen Way too much for just 18 I've written songs about them all so far And played them all on an acoustic guitar Life is good, it's been alright to me I've recorded my heart on a couple LPs It all comes down to the same old thing Trying to find someone to share it with I'm lost, I know that the world is weird I'm swimming in waters that I used to fear Crazy things have made me kind of tough Sometimes I think that I've seen too much Just 18 I've seen the world Done more than some their whole lives unfold Still at school just saving face But a month today I'll be leaving this place But a month today I'll be leaving this place
