THE HOBBIT - 1937 J.R.R Tolkien - BBC RADIO DRAMA in English (Full 8 episodes)

The Hobbit was written in several parts between the late 1920s and early 1930s and was originally intended only for the amusement of Tolkien's young children, but Tolkien lent the manuscript of the unfinished work to various people and it ended up in the hands of the publisher George Allen & Unwin. We’re reading more than ever before – but much of it is on screens rather than physical books. Is it changing the way our brains work? Reading books has so many physical, emotional and economic benefits - here's why how we read might be more important than what or how much we read.

[BBC] Why Reading Matters [Part 1 of 6]
Uploader's Personal Note: This documentary is good up until her stance on video games, which to me, has an immature and ignorant disregard for technological change. The points presented are unscientific, loaded with bias and go far beyond fair speculative theory and into irrelevant quackery. Otherwise, it's worth a watch; this particular misstep is very unusual for the BBC.
Thank you,

I, Sonya Barlow, took myself offline for 11 days and learnt so much about the toxic relationship with social media, how my brain works, where to travel, what books to read and why going offline will build my confidence and yours.

Thank you,
