Lynda Baron in Coronation Street (1 and 7 December 1997)
Lynda Baron appeared in Corrie as Renee Turnbull in December 1997 as a bored housewife who had signed up to Alec Gilroy's escort agency! In the story, Renee was supposed to have a date with Ken Barlow but Jack Duckworth went instead masquerading as Ken hoping for someone younger. Renee overpowered Jack as she tried to seduce him and he ended up fleeing the hotel they were in, leaving his shoe behind!
Eventually, Renee went to see Alec in the Rovers complete with the shoe and seduced Jack again! Only this time, Vera discovered them together in hilarious scenes.
This was so funny, Lynda showcasing her comedic talents to full effect as did Liz Dawn, Roy Barraclough and Bill Tarmey.
