"Angel Eyes" is a song by the American country music duo Love and Theft. Eric Gunderson, one-half of the duo, co-wrote it with Jeff Coplan and Eric Paslay. It is Love and Theft's first single without group member Brian Bandas, and the first from their album Love and Theft. The song became the group's second Top 10 and first Number 1 showing on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Content
The song is about a rebellious female lover who is described as having "a little bit of devil in her angel eyes". Paslay told Taste of Country that the title came out in conversation, and that he "just wanted to make sure it didn’t sound too serious on that song. It’s a fun song. I’m glad that they recorded it and that it’s out there."
Critical reception
Taste of Country writer Billy Dukes gave the song three stars out of five, saying that its story has "been told thousand of times before" but that it is "still really difficult to resist". Bobby Peacock of Roughstock rated it four stars out of five, saying that its sound was "fresh and interesting."
Angel Eyes is an EP by the American heavy metal band Riot, released on December 9, 1997 in Japan only, making it very collectible. It contains two songs from the recording sessions of the album Inishmore not available elsewhere, as well as "Turning the Hands of Time" which is not featured on the Japanese edition of Inishmore.
Mark Reale - electric lead and rhythm guitars, acoustic 6 and 12 string guitars, backing vocals, mandolin and Hammond organ, string arrangements, producer
"Angel Eyes" is a song by Canadian-Indian singer Raghav (full name Raghav Mathur) from his 2004 album Storyteller. It features additional vocals by Jucxi and Frankey Maxx, although they are not credited on the cover of the single.
The single was released in February 2005, and became Raghav's most successful release. He performed the song live accompanied by the two artists on Top of the Pops in Britain. An official music video was also released.
"Angel Eyes" is greatly inspired by a melody from the hit "Murder She Wrote" by Jamaican reggae duo Chaka Demus & Pliers, and widely uses the song's music arrangement. "Murder She Wrote" was a success in the UK in 1992, making it to number 27 and was included on the Chaka Demus & Pliers album Tease Me/All She Wrote.
"Angel Eyes" is also a remake of Raghav's Hindi language hit "Teri Baaton Mein" with new English language lyrics and new arrangement. "Angel Eyes" contains one brief Hindi language excerpt from "Teri Baaton Mein".
Rachel Bluwstein Sela (September 20 (Julian calendar), 1890 – April 16, 1931) was a Hebrew-language poet who immigrated to Palestine in 1909. She is known by her first name, Rachel, (Hebrew:רחל) or as Rachel the Poetess (Hebrew:רחל המשוררת).
Biography
Rachel was born in Saratov in Imperial Russia on September 20, 1890, the eleventh daughter of Isser-Leib and Sophia Bluwstein, and granddaughter of the rabbi of the Jewish community in Kiev. During her childhood, her family moved to Poltava, Ukraine, where she attended a Russian-speaking Jewish school and, later, a secular high school. She began writing poetry at the age of 15. When she was 17, she moved to Kiev and began studying painting.
At the age of 19, Rachel visited Palestine with her sister en route to Italy, where they were planning to study art and philosophy. They decided to stay on as Zionist pioneers, learning Hebrew by listening to children’s chatter in kindergartens. They settled in Rehovot and worked in the orchards. Later, Rachel moved to Kvutzat Kinneret on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where she studied and worked in a women's agricultural school. At Kinneret, she met Zionist leader A. D. Gordon who was to be a great influence on her life, and to whom she dedicated her first Hebrew poem. During this time, she also met and had a romantic relationship with Zalman Rubashov—the object of many of her love poems —who later became known as Zalman Shazar and was the third president of Israel.
She entered a singing competition organised by Mireille Hartuch who had invited Rachel to her 'Petit Conservatoire'.
She went on to sign a contract with the Barclay Records label, and released her first (45 rmp) recording entitled Les Amants Blessés in 1963.
In 1964, she represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with her entry called "Le Chant de Mallory", which was her greatest hit. She did not win, but scored 14 points and finished in fourth place.
Rachel (Hebrew:רָחֵל, Standard Raḥel Tiberian Rāḫēl, Rāḥēl), Arabic:راحیل, Rāḥīl); also spelled Rachael, meaning "ewe") is a femininegiven name. The name ranks in the top hundred most popular names for girls in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia as well as in Israel. According to United States Social Security card applications in 2005, the name Rachel ranked 38th out of the top 100 names chosen by parents for their baby girls. Statistics for England and Wales from the Office for National Statistics show a decline in popularity of the name: it was the 9th most popular name given to baby girls in 1984, but only 235th in 2014.

Angel Eyes: Original Song Written by Rachel Funk
I wrote and recored Angel Eyes, when I was 23 years old. So, yes I'm lip synching to myself. I wrote this song for a total jerk I thought I was "in love" with. I still think it's a good song though. I hope ya'll like it too! =0)

Last night
I was taking a walk along the river
And I saw him together with a young
girl And the look that he gave
made me shiver ′Cause he always
used to look at me that way And
I thought maybe I should walk right
up to her and say Ah-ha-ha, it′s
a game he likes to play Look into
his angeleyes One look and you′re
hypnotized He′ll take your heart
and you must pay the price Look
into his angeleyes You′ll think you′re
in paradise And one day you′ll
find out he wears a disguise Don′t
look too deep into those angeleyes
Oh no no no no Ah-ha-ha, ah-aaaah
Ah-ha-ha, ah-aaaah Ah-ha-ha, keep
thinking ′bout his angeleyes I keep
thinking, a-aaah Sometimes when
I′m lonely I sit and think about
him And it hurts to remember all
the good times When I thought I
could never live without him And
I wonder does...

Sick of leaving in the morning With the night you gave away So now I'm gonna take that all that I can get With those angel eyes You make saints do sins all the time Say I'm gonna stay, home and away, well well, When I said I'd catch you when you're falling I'd have my heart open wide And you who's not naive I thought Say I thought I'd mend my heart People say I'm so automatic People say I'm not so systematic When I'm down I'm in manual, lord And time on time again I walk on by With the look of love And with those angel eyes, woh woh You set me on fire baby And with those angel eyes, woh woh C'mon now baby The saddest thing I've ever seen on my tv screen Was a dying man who died for his dream Toughest thing I've ever heard Was that new-born scream in this naked world People say I'm so automatic People say I'm not so systematic When I'm down I'm in manual, lord And time on time again I walk on by With the look of love And with those angel eyes, woh woh You set me on fire baby And with those angel eyes, woh woh C'mon now baby Say I'm gonna stay home and away Show a little loving that'll make you shine girl Say I'm gonna stay home and away People say that I'm so automatic People say I'm not so systematic When I'm down I'm in manual, lord Been all around those edges But ain't never been in love Ain't never been in love before babe Never been in love Never been in love Set me on fire, baby And with those angel eyes, woh woh Set me on fire, fire And with those angel eyes, woh woh
