The Princes in the Tower | Murdered or Survived?
The mystery of the Princes in the Tower. Will we ever know what happened to Edward V and his younger brother Richard, Duke of York? The princes, who were 12 and 9 years old at the time of their disappearance, were taken into custody at the Tower of London by their uncle, the future Richard III, after the sudden death of their father King Edward IV. The boys disappeared from the Tower in the autumn of 1483. Speculation over their fate remains to this day and many questions remain unanswered. Murdered or survived? What do you think?

The Princes In The Tower 1483
Edward and Richard were Edward IV's 2 leg. sons. This highly fictitional documentary is entertaining. The saddest part isthat Tudor was a usurper - barred from the throne by both RII and HIV on grounds of illegitamacy; his anscestors derived from the unmarried union between John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford - subsuquently legitramized under strict condition those descenents never claimed the throne.
Perkin Warbeck was probably not Richard but it is interesting his face was beaten beyond recognition before hanging. So he must have looked like a king. However, losing the battle (Stoke) was his and his royal supporters failure.

Princes in the Tower: The Ugly Truth
Princes In The Tower were the sons of Edward IV, who died in 1483. At the time, his son's Richard and his elder brother Edward was now the new King Edward V. But Richard, Duke of Gloucester, had his own plans, and these would not include the princes! The boys would be locked away in the Tower of London under a veil of secrecy.
It would be Henry Tudor who was the man to remove Richard finally. Rebels joined Henry in overthrowing this most feared man. Richard had been labelled as the usurper to the throne and the murderer of the young princes.
It seems the powers would do anything to help Henry take the throne and remove once and for all a King who had caused so much sorrow.
The recriminations were swift. Richard was dead, but the theories and ongoing speculation about what happened to...

What Happened To The Princes In The Tower?
One of England's greatest mysteries is the disappearance of the Princes in the Tower. Inside the Tower of London in 1483 was the Edward V and his younger brother Richard of Shrewsbury. Their uncle Richard of Gloucester/Richard III had been appointed as their protector to keep the boys safe and had his guards keeping their eyes on the boys.
However mysteriously as summer 1483 passed on, the two princes became seen less often to the point where they were never seen again. The Princes In The Tower mystery has captivated millions for centuries and still 500 years on we are no closer to establishing a definit...

However mysteriously as summer 1483 passed on, the two princes became seen less often to the point where they were never seen again. The Princes In The Tower mystery has captivated millions for centuries and still 500 years on we are no closer to establishing a definite answer as to what happened to the two young boys. There are a number of suspects though, including the most prominent Richard III. Historians sometimes consider that Richard was the most likely culprit having the two boys murdered so he could take the throne, as he quickly became King after he declared the boys illegitimate.
There are a number of suspects and possibilities, however nothing is concrete. Henry VII, Henry Stafford the 2nd Duke of Buckingham are also suspected, but when bones were found under a staircase inside the Tower of London during Charles II's reign, these were taken as belonging to the boys. No DNA testing has even been conducted on these remains, but they remain interred in Westminster Abbey in an incredibly powerful position inside Henry VII's Lady Chapel. The fact these bones were placed inside the Abbey shows that in the 17th century they believed these to actually have been the remains. But it shows you that even a century or so after the disappearance, the mystery captivated England. Join us today as we take an in-depth look at, 'What happened to the Princes In The Tower?' The City of Gloster lies on the River Severn between the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. It is a cathedral city as well as Britain’s most inland port, linked to the Severn Estuary by the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. One of the main attractions of Gloucester is the cathedral which stands in the north of the city and dates from the late 11th to early 12th century.

A DAY IN GLOUCESTER (Solo Travel Vlog) 4K
Join me on my trip to Gloucester, as I spend the day exploring all the cool hidden gems and iconic landmarks that this city has to offer.
Gloucester Cathedral was the first stop for the day, which is known for its enormous tower, outstanding architecture and unusual corridors. It's so perfect, it's even been used as a filming location for Harry Potter and Doctor Who!
I then took a short walk across the city to the east side where the Museum of Gloucester is located, a free museum with some history. There are also the ruins of the east gate located on the main shopping street.
As the rain started to move in a little, I went down to the docks area which has a large number of old warehouses, some with museums inside. This is where I stopped off for a bite to eat before proceeding to my nex...

Welcome, let me walk you around the city of Gloucester and give you an insight into its fascinating history and heritage spanning 2,000 years.
It is a cathedral city alongside the River Severn, the most inland port in the UK.
It's strategic position meant that it became an important port for the supplying the Midlands with food and materials during the Industrial Revolution.
It is the location for the University of Gloucestershire having campuses in the city centre as well as the nearby Regency Spa town of Cheltenham.
There are a number of museums recounting the fascinating development of the city. The Museum of Gloucester which is also where The Tourist Information Centre is based is in Brunswick Road off Eastgate Street.
The historic docks, now no longer commercially viable, has the impressive Waterways Museum in a converted Victorian Warehouse which explains the history of the docks and the Sharpness Canal. It also has The Soldiers of Gloucester Museum in an Old Customs House which tells the story of two Gloucestershire regiments and the brave soldiers that have taken part in all major conflicts during their 300 year history. There are plenty of waterside pubs, cafes and restaurants to enjoy.
The Docks hold a variety of exciting events, festivals and celebrations throughout the year including the fabulous Tall Ships festival, the Gloucester Food Festival, and the popular Victorian Christmas Market.
There are films, shows, lectures and live music events at the Gloucester Guildhall.
The famous Three Choirs Festival rotates between the Cathedrals of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester. The area has produced many famous musicians some have memorials in the Cathedral including John Stafford Smith who composed the music for the American National Anthem.
There really is something for everyone.

This is where I stopped off for a bite to eat before proceeding to my next and final destination.
Which is Gloucester Prison, where I joined a group of 20-30 people on a tour around the old Prison, guided round by an old prison officer who pointeD out lots of history and key facts about what life was like in this prison. It was certainly worth a visit and my highlight from the day.
