Race
The 2007 running of the Subway 500 set a record for cautions in this race, with 21 yellow flags flying for 127 laps. The race was eventually decided under caution, when, during the green-white-checkers, David Ragan spun in turn number 1, ending the single attempt at a racing finish. With his third consecutive win at Martinsville, Johnson became the first driver since Rusty Wallace in 1994-1995 to win three straight races at the track.
The Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 powered by Kroger is a NASCARSprint Cup Seriesstock car race held at Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia, the other one being the STP 500 in March, The race has been run in every Sprint Cup season, starting with the inaugural 1949 season, making it the oldest NASCAR race still run today. It is the seventh race of ten in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and the first race in the Eliminator Round of the current Chase format. Starting 2015, NBC has the rights for the final 20 races of the season (17 of 20), including this race.
The 1:30p.m. Eastern start time is the earliest start time among the Chase races on the current schedule (as the three Chase races after Martinsville start at 3:00 PM EST, five of the first six start at 2:00 PM EDT, and Charlotte starts at 7:30 PM EDT). The track does not have permanent lights installed, and shadows cast heavily over the facility in mid-October, when the race has been held since 2001.
The Tums sponsorship returned sponsorship to GlaxoSmithKline for 2008, as their Goody's Powder brand sponsored the race from 1983-1995 and recently returned as sponsor for the spring race. As per Martinsville tradition, the winner of this race receives a custom-built grandfather clock.

You may not care but don't be naive Well take The best The positive aspect Have some friends and a punkska band I guess that's The key to your sobriety Even if you're a pervert use your head Before you date this girl, you better sure you've bled It's o.k. you'll do some mistakes Like Ace Ventura with Snowflakes Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Life is like diskathing And someday you'll have a lovely wife You'll do like O.J. and kill her with a knife You'll obey to your bastard dog Live across The street from a big fat slob You will be a fucking statistic Another man without a diploma But after all you'll be happy Cause you know man, this is The key [Chorus] [Bridge] [Solo] Ba-ba-ba, ba-Barbara ann!!! [x3] [Chorus]
