The number of LNG deliveries to Świnoujście increased by nearly 70% annually this year compared to 2021, the company said. On Sunday, the terminal received its 50th shipment of LNG: gas carrier Al Shamal from Qatar with a load of about 90,000 tonnes.

LNG imports are currently one of Poland's main sources of natural gas supply, providing about 40% of the gas demand from the beginning of 2022, PKN Orlen said. “Thanks to LNG, we can guarantee uninterrupted gas supplies to our customers despite the ongoing energy crisis in Europe,” it added.
