One especially popular option for those seeking out an affordable place to start a family is the Aliante neighborhood in North Las Vegas. The master-planned community located about a half hour from the Strip features parks, peaceful cul de sacs, and a high concentration of military families.

As a result of Aliante’s location, many residents only head downtown or to the Strip for special occasions, preferring to spend time at the restaurants and bars at Aliante Casino instead.
