Swindon Town midfielder Jaxon Brown has joined National League South outfit Aveley for the remainder of the season.

Brown headed to Parkside over the weekend to gain more experience after having a strong first half of his maiden professional season.

The midfielder spent 15 games with Canvey Island earlier this campaign, winning the club's Player of the Month award and scored six goals during his time in the Isthmian League Division One North.

He was then recalled by Ian Holloway after he impressed him with his physical traits after acing the veteran manager's notorious "run" and has since played three times for Town this season.

To gain even more experience at a higher level, Brown will finish this season in the sixth tier after Danny Scopes made a move to bring him to Aveley.

The Millers are sat 23rd in the sixth tier at the moment and Brown made his debut for the club straight away as a 67th-minute substitute during the club's 1-1 draw against Chesham United.

Holloway is a big fan of Brown's, saying of him in November: "His enthusiasm is completely insane, he would run through that wall instead of opening the door if I asked him to and there would be a big Jaxon-shaped hole in it."
