Madrid themeでオプションを比較してみよう。
Madridデフォルト
ナビゲーションバーがない、フッター情報が入っている。
\useoutertheme[subsection=false]{smoothbars} \setbeamertemplate{footline}[page number]
ナビゲーションバーが欲しいので追加する。[subsection=false]で、section情報だけをナビゲーションバーに表示できるようになる。
フッター情報はいらないので消して、ページ番号だけにした。
ページ番号が小さく、薄いので、\setbeamertemplateや\setbeamerfontや\setbeamercolorで調整する。他のパーツについてもマニュアルに変更できるオプションが細かく記載されている。テーマによっては変更できないものもあるらしい(smoothbarsが使えない等)。

ページ番号は太く凛々しい黒色に。

frame描画領域の左右マージンも変更できます。
