Growth History
Part I

Baam firing shinsu at the Bull
In Part I, Baam was initially very weak, lacking any particular skills apart from his determination and courage cultivated during years trapped inside a cave. This inability to fight left his friends Khun Aguero Agnis and Rak Wraithraiser with the responsibility of protecting him most of the time. However, Baam soon revealed an extraordinary, latent talent that aligned with the dangerous reputation of an Irregular. His exceptional proficiency in manipulating shinsu, unlike most regulars, greatly impressed others, especially when he instantly mastered Quant's Fast Skip technique and executed it flawlessly. This prowess led the shocked Quant to consider Baam a monster, with even Ren viewing him as a promising candidate for the RED if he were to ascend to Ranker status.
By the end of Part I, Baam had grown formidable enough to dispatch the Bull with a single blow—a feat unattainable even by Anak Zahard and Androssi Zahard. However, it later emerged that the water in the test tank possessed Shinsu-enhancing properties, significantly augmenting Baam's power.
Part II
By Part II, after years of training under FUG's control, with masters like Ha Jinsung and Yu Han Sung, Bam refined his potential and has become so adept in combat that others are beginning to fear his strength and avoid him entirely. He is now openly declared a "monster" even by Rankers such as Love, who he managed to put up a considerable fight against with Love suppressing his power to not kill him. Ja Wangnan describes him as the "Demon".[14] He entirely overpowered the Regulars on the 20th Floor and has accomplished many feats that are far above the capabilities of an E-rank Regular. Such feats include handling a 2-on-1 battle against Akraptor and Horyang,[15] most impressively inflicting a single injury on a massively holding back Urek Mazino, impressing him to where he ordered Baam to be observed,[16] another 2-on-2 fight against Novick and Ran[17] (both of whom were in the Top 10 strongest E-rank Regulars) and another recent 2-on-1 battle against Ship Leesoo's team members Vespa and Aleksai Amigochaz regardless of his inability to use shinsu at the time.[18][19] His notoriety has risen to the point where he is being compared to the Zahard's Princesses in terms of raw power.
Baam's strength continued to surge as he acquired more external power while also honing his own skills. By the time of the Hell Train, he demonstrated his prowess by defeating Daniel Hatchid, one of the top D-Rank Regulars, and thwarting the plans of the Slayer White's resurrection by outmatching and defeating Hoaqin. Moreover, he effortlessly overcame Yukan, one of the strongest of the Ten Bosses, and even emerged victorious against Kaiser herself. Kaiser had previously overwhelmed even Androssi and gained notoriety for being unbeatable in the Name Hunt Station. At this point, the "God" of Guardians acknowledged him as "much stronger than the other Regulars".[20]
Baam finally began to display the extent of his true dangerous potential during the events of the Hidden Floor: While initially deemed to be weak compared to the other Irregulars before him, after just one-month of training with the data self of Khun Eduan, Baam became strong enough to hold his own against and pressure the data self of Zahard to ultimately stalemate him, impressing the data being so much he believed Baam would be capable of threatening his outside self in the future. Later, using all of his power and the Black March, Baam was able to pressure two Rankers, Charlie and Vice Altar Director into the defensive and being deemed capable of killing them had his attacks landed, and even managed to damage Kallavan, the Squadron Commander of the Fourth Squadron, even if only lightly, which impressed Evankhell, the top 60 Ranker, to where she decided to take him under his wing and believed he has the potential to grow much stronger under her.
Part III
After two years of intensive training under Evankhell and various masters, as well as experiencing numerous battlefields, Bam has grown tremendously stronger. Not only has he exponentially increased his overall power, but he has also acquired a great deal of battle experience that significantly improved his prowess. He is now fully capable of overpowering even the strongest of regulars and has grown strong enough to fight and defeat Rankers without relying on the Thorn. SIU has noted that he is the only Regular capable of achieving such a feat, thus making him the strongest Regular in the present time,[21] as shown when he pinned down the Ranker R sent at him by the Great Priest for Jordan to restrain, the display impressing the canine Advanced Ranker, Baam even believing he could kill R, and quickly defeated one of the Ranker's from Baylord Paul's group without using the Thorn or Black March, with the latter Ranker not being able to use transformation, his level of improvement impressing Karaka, Gado and even Baylord Doom, the Slayer noting that Baam was much stronger than he initially believed, Gado deciding to deal with Baam himself, and Doom going as far as to offer to make him a high-ranking canine people. Baam has even grew powerful enough to fight against a High Ranker,[22] holding his own against Gado to block his attacks and injure him with his own partial transformation, something Gado thought ordinary Rankers incapable of, before using the Thorn and leaving him astonished and wary of his power, swiftly cleanly cutting off Gado's leg after hitting his weak spot. Baam later single-handedly easily defeated the guards of the Wall of Peaceful Coexistence and even defeated another powerful Ranker Daleet, who was the second strongest of the Ranker guards of the Wall of Peaceful Coexistence, with minimum help from Khun and Rak, Daleet considering him to be the only threat out of the three and after being bested even admitting that Baam was definitely stronger than him. Baam achieved an official victory over a Ranker by defeating the Test Ranker Pan in one-on-one combat without resorting to any of his more powerful techniques or transformations. This remarkable feat earned him great acclaim, as besting a Ranker as a C-Rank Regular established him as even more gifted than Adori Zahard, who is considered the strongest among the Zahard princesses alongside Eurasia Enne Zahard, and holds the 7th rank after Khun Eduan. The victory not only inspired many of Zahard's opponents to take an interest in the Slayer Candidate, but also garnered support for Baam within FUG, and made the Elders unable to ignore his presence.
As he concluded his training and embarked on the mission to rescue his master at the Nest, Baam showcased remarkable growth. In a rematch against Charlie, he swiftly overwhelmed his opponent with minimal effort, shattering Charlie's Needle and forcing him into a defensive stance. Baam regarded the encounter as merely a "good warm-up," indicating his lack of seriousness in the fight. Zahard's Army observed Baam's impressive skill level for a Regular, with Charlie acknowledging his considerable advancement. Charlie even remarked that Baam wasn't utilizing even a tenth of his true power, suggesting that at full strength, Baam could hypothetically match the strength of at least ten Rankers of Charlie's caliber. This realization instilled fear in Zahard's Army, as they apprehended the possibility of Baam evolving into an unstoppable force if he survived the Battle of the Nest. Hwa Ryun remarked on Baam's immense potential, surpassing that of every Ranker in Zahard's Army who witnessed the battle. She likened the scenario to a group of shrimps facing off against a giant shark, emphasizing the vast discrepancy in power. When Baam and Karaka combined their strength to confront Kallavan, they managed to hold their own against the formidable opponent. Notably, Baam inflicted damage on Kallavan, a feat that even Karaka couldn't accomplish. This display both impressed and alarmed Kallavan, who recognized Baam's potential to pose a future threat to Zahard himself.
After his battle with Kallavan, Baam demonstrated his exceptional potential and growing power during the Gakja Dosaeng game. He effortlessly defeated several powerful creatures imprisoned there without sustaining a single scratch, including monsters acknowledged by White to be exceedingly formidable. White believed that Baam's strength had grown enough to make him a valuable source of power should he absorb his soul. McCage admitted to being impressed, commenting that Baam was definitely stronger than a Ranker. Baam even engaged in combat against Aria, a Division Commander of the new 4th Army Corp, astonishing her with his power. She expressed disbelief that he was merely a Regular and was forced to take him seriously, despite managing to surprise her and fend her off. Driven by anger and a desire to avenge Prince and Akraptor's deaths at White's hands, Baam battled the legendary Slayer with all his might. He caught White by surprise several times and delivered powerful attacks, prompting White to acknowledge that Baam was much more of a challenge than he had anticipated. Baam's attacks proved difficult for White to resist, ultimately allowing him to gain the upper hand and disarm White's initial sword. This forced White to reveal a sword that he rarely used in order to defeat him. Even after being temporarily defeated, Baam tapped deeper into his dangerous potential and the power he had accumulated thus far. This resulted in him becoming strong enough to almost entirely dominate White in battle, causing White to become concerned about his power and even acknowledge that Baam had now surpassed him in strength.
After absorbing much of White's power, Baam's strength is stated to have increased, and he was able to easily leave Lo Po Bia Yorari and Lo Po Bia Orari stunned in a single move by his strength, despite both being the Branch Head and Branch Family Head of the Snake Family and thus very powerful Rankers. After absorbing Leviathan, Baam's current level of strength even without using any of his powerups is enough to be comparable to his master, Ha Jinsung, a top 100 High Ranker, and he easily defeated Lo Po Bia Holan, an incredible prodigy stated to be unsurpassed among the Lo Po Bia Family, who stated he could feel Baam's talent far exceeded his in that he is still growing even now and described him as a creature from another world. Even Lo Po Bia Traumerei himself acknowledged Baam's worth, revealing that Baam's talents had grown well-known enough that even the Great 10 Family Heads are intrigued by him, with Traumerei wishing to recruit Baam into his family and offering him the rank of successor. With Leviathan's power, Baam effortlessly defended himself and his allies from Lo Po Bia Perseus's reins while trying to escape from the Lo Po Bia Family, with Traumerei deeming Baam as someone capable of being a great threat to the future who he would have to kill now if he did not join his Family. When pitted against Lo Po Bia Ren, Bam effortlessly handled himself twice, pushing Ren into the corner within a matter of moments in their first encounter and easily defeating the assassin in their second encounter with purely superior combat skills and power, even with Ren's efforts to use his tricks, going as far as to mock the Ranker as "sucking in fighting". He also was the only one capable of defending himself against The Serpent Master during the Marriage Tournament, protecting the other competitors on their first fight and even gaining the upper hand in their second exchange. Bam was able to defeat Lo Po Bia Elbaba, the Branch Head of the Grey Wolf Family, effortlessly while holding back as to not kill him due to still acknowledging him as his friend's father.
Shinsu Control
Though Baam initially knew nothing of shinsu, he quickly displayed an astonishingly prodigious level of talent and gift for manipulating shinsu while undergoing hard training and taking a Wave Controller class at the floor of the test. The highly talented Phonsekal Laure mentioned that Baam was born with "talent". Moreover, the wave controller class teacher, Ranker Ren was astonished by his talent to where he complimented Baam as the 'most talented regular". Baam's potential far exceeds the normal Regulars and in one instance it appeared the shinsu around him attacked Hwa Ryun of its own accord.[23] He is also able to use shinsu baangs without having formed a contract with a Guardian, something that is considered both impossible and against the very laws of The Tower.
In Part II, Baam's abilities to control shinsu has greatly improved due to his training under FUG, especially under the powerful Wave Controller Yu Hansung, far exceeding other Regulars in terms of not just the power and size of shinsu blasts but also the amount of baangs he can control in comparison to Regulars of the same rank. On the 29th Floor, he was shown to be able to control at least 5 baangs, a feat which surprised Quaetro Blitz who was bragging about controlling a total of three and later stated that even the top 5 E-ranked Regulars could probably only create four at most.[24] Soon after, during the fight with Reflejo at the Workshop Battle, he was shown utilising a total of 6 baangs.[25] Currently, he is known to control up to 13 baangs.[26] After the Hell Train time skip and after undergoing the first part of "Revolution", he was shown being capable of bending gigantic solid metal pipes at a distance in order to create a shortcut.[27]
By Part III, the years of training has dramatically improved Baam's shinsu control beyond any Regular's level, fully capable of using high-level techniques without strain such as his new gigantic orb and several other new techniques he had acquired, along with being able to effortlessly and almost instantly manipulate shinsu in the form of dozens of baangs and blasts with a simple movement, implementing them skillfully into close-combat by fending off incoming attacks using multiple shinsu projections at once. Baam's shinsu control is such that with just his shinsu techniques without using any power-ups, he is more than capable of completely decimating several strong Regulars at once and even harming and defeating Rankers, with them commenting on how beyond Regular level his shinsu techniques was. It was noted by Baam that after his fight with Kallavan, his shinsu control underwent a noticeable growth, becoming able to control higher amounts of shinsu that surprised him with ease.
- Shinsu Reading: He was able to see the white aura around Anak,[28] which the other Regulars were not able to do, thus allowing him to tie against Lero-Ro in their bet regarding who would pass through the barrier first. In Part II his ability to detect, sense, and see unusual shinsu improved greatly, apparently able to read shinsu in a similar manner to Laure, as he instantly noticed the parasite that was controlling Yihwa in an instant and pulled it out with his bare hands.[29] After the "Revolution" process, Baam's ability to read shinsu improved to where during his fight with Kaiser he becomes able to discern drops of shinsu scattered by invisible weapons in order to effectively counter them and even manages to eventually catch them bare-handed.[30] By Part III, Baam's ability to read shinsu has increased enough to where he is even able to successfully perceive White's swordsmanship at his prime, allowing him to be able to counter them as he is able to see through the Arie Slayer's sword techniques.
- Shinsu Reinforcement: In Part II, Baam can use shinsu to reinforce his normal strikes to the point where one punch was even able to crack the floor.[15] He can also extend the shinsu to strike from far away.[31] After the Hell Train time skip, a Thorn-augmented Baam was able to throw a punch strong enough to briefly incapacitate an experienced D-rank Regular as well as crater the ground underneath said Regular.[32] Later, Baam is able to strike with a punch powerful enough to 1-hit KO a large opponent as well as utterly destroy the area behind the punch, without activating the Thorn.[33]
- Shinsu Barrier: He has been shown to be able to create a small shinsu barrier to block shinsu beams.[15] He was also shown to use Lighthouses to enhance the power of his barrier in his fight with Novick and Ran.[17]
- Wide Range Shinsu Control Skill - Rainfall (우(雨)): Baam gathers large amounts of shinsu in abstract shapes, which spread across the battlefield and swirl around. Then the shinsu falls across the battlefield like rain and pierces the enemy wherever it falls. Baam killed dozens of Baylord Yama's trained combat war dogs in seconds using Rain. This technique is reminiscent of Enryu's Red Rain.
- Shinsu Control Skill - Wide-Range Skill: Streamflow: (신수제어술 광역기 천(川)): Baam gathers a large amount of shinsu in a spiral and makes it into a wide, swirling current. When used on Varagarv, it is strong enough to break Varagarv through the floor and blow him out of the building, even with Blood Tamara activated.
- Twenty-Fifth Baam Style Wave Explosion - Zero(0) (스물다섯번째 밤 류 공파술 제로(0)): A technique learned from Ha Chai that is a version of the basic Wave Piercing Technique performed at the state of Zero, consolidating his basics and signifying now Baam is learning from "Zero" step by step but swiftly from the zero up after having previously been taught powerful techniques by force. Using this technique while holding back defeated Varagarv and left him in considerable pain, with Baam indicating he could have killed Varagarv had he wanted to with that attack. Baam used this technique again alongside Karaka's White Day to wake up Baylord Yama, Karaka noting that although Baam's technique isn't as strong as his, but it was unbelievably powerful for a Regular. This technique is even strong enough to suppress normal Rankers, as Baam was able to push back a Ranker of Baylord Paul with this technique and later finish off Pan with a single hit after he was already injured near the end of their battle.
- Twenty-Fifth Baam Style - Lethal Move: Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique (스물다섯번째 밤류 화접 공파술): Apparently a stronger variation of the technique he learned from Ha Jinsung, Baam releases a massive burst of orange butterfly wings upon contact with the target. It was strong enough to bring a Ranker from Baylord Paul's group to his knees just by hitting him on the arm.
- Twenty-Fifth Baam Style - Transcendental Move: Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique - Twin Wings (Black and White Wings) (스물다섯번째 밤류 초월기 쌍익 (백흑익) 화접 공파술): Baam uses this technique with both the 1st and 2nd thorn fragments activated, along with his true power, releasing a massive projection of blue and black butterfly wings. It is strong enough to severely injure Kallavan's right arm to the point that Kallavan said he could feel the attack through his entire body, and if the attack went a little bit deeper, it would have severed his entire right arm.
- Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique - White Wing: This variant appears to be one of the two parts of Baam's Twin Wings. He releases a massive blinding wave of white energy complete with wings while fighting White. It was strong enough to wear down on White's sword when it was used to block the attack, visibly damaging it.
Shinsu Loop

Yu Hansung explains the Shinsu Loop
A special technique that "gathers and stores" shinsu non-stop and releases it. Yu Han Sung explained the theory of this technique to Baam because he himself cannot use it, requiring stability in dividing shinsu power. Baam was able to overcome this weakness due to him being "blessed by shinsu", meaning, his shinsu power has stability and never gets weaker as he divides his shinsu power. Han Sung specifically invented this technique's concept to help Baam become strong enough to defeat Kallavan. Baam creates a revolving ring of shinsu in order to perform this shinsu loop.
Ordinarily, a person's shinsu power will decrease as the amount of Baangs they control rise. But, in Baam's case, his shinsu power remains the same no matter how many baangs he uses. Since he is the exception, he can continue to gather the shinsu around him. People like Baam are said to be "Blessed by Shinsu". The so-called "Genius Wave Controller" Yu Han Sung wasn't even quite as blessed as Baam[34], although the shinsu he controls is as pure as Baam's (pure shinsu is identical to water).
After seeing Baam become stronger in part III, Yu Han Sung came up with the idea to use this incredible natural gift of Baam, for him to create a Shinsu loop that "runs non-stop" so Baam can store up even more power. Such an unlimited, non-stop running storing process will keep increasing the density of Shinsu because it will be pressured against each other countless times. There won't be much Shinsu at first glance, but the power of Shinsu stored in a loop process like that would be like a "sea of Shinsu". The destructive power of Shinsu like that would almost be "infinite". Currently, the amount of power Bam has in his Shinsu Loop is enough to cause great destruction like splitting a tall building in half and challenge, counter, and threaten even Rankers. Kallavan even found this technique to be absurd and impressive, as its nature of relying on resilience rather than power means it can overcome the defenses of some of the most powerful of Rankers.
List of skills or techniques related to Shinsu Loop:
- Focused Shinsu Control Skill - Water Dragon (집중형 신수 제어술-수룡): Baam gathers and focuses his Shinsu Loop into his hand or foot and drags it while running to form a narrow, long linear shape that creates the form of a dragon. Baam will then swing his hand or foot to his opponent's direction, making it look like Baam was whipping his opponents with a Shinsu whip. The strength of this technique easily overwhelmed Akryung and even cut his body in half, only surviving due to his mysterious regeneration ability and causing Akryung to compliment Baam's growth in strength.[34]
- Wide Range Shinsu Control Skill: Water Dragon-Heavy Storm (광역형 신수제어술: 수룡-폭우): Combining Water Dragon with Rainfall, Baam gathers Shinsu around him, and pours it down on the enemy, making it seem like rain. It's strong enough to overwhelm a canine Ranker named R without the usage of the Black March and Thorn to where the Ranker even commented on whether this was really the technique level of a Regular.
- Water Dragon + ORB: Seven Dragons Endless Sky: A Shinsu technique of Baam that combines Orb with the Water Dragon technique by creating a Shinsu orb to absorb the Shinsu loop, dramatically enhancing the Shinsu and producing and shooting 7 number of narrow, long linear, dragon-like shape Baangs. It's strong enough to block the attacks of Baylord Doom's External Transformation when he was in a weakened state.
- Intensive Shinsu Control Skill - Water Bomb: Baam focuses his Shinsu loop into his right arm and fires a large powerful wave of Shinsu to shock and break the enemy's defense. It managed to rip open a hole through Doom's External Transformation but it quickly regenerated itself.
- Transcendental Skill Stardust - Meteor Shower: Basing on his Shinsu Loop and Water Dragon technique, Baam creates an almost infinite amount of Shinwonryu, releasing countless baangs of Shinwonryu shaped into meteor-like balls. it's so powerful that White commented that the attack "hurt to death" and was forced to use the souls inside him to sustain himself against the attack, even making him drop his sword despite it, though leaving White himself unharmed. While activating his "Ultimate Revolution" mode, Baam was able to use this technique to a much higher level by adding his quality to it, able to release several, now black, meteors at once far larger than what he produced before with just a single hand, being so strong all White can do is deflect them as even his sword cannot cut the shinsu attack.
- Focused Shinsu Control Skill - Chang Dragon (집중형 신수 제어술-창룡): A similar technique to the Water Dragon technique that instead of whipping it to attack, launches the line of shinsu as a blast. This technique was powerful enough to push back R and cause the destruction of the surrounding area.
Shinsu Attributes
Shinsu Quality
After Data Eduan's training and his final Revolution, Bam discovers his identity and who he is, in turn unlocking his shinsu quality, which is black and greyish in color. As it's his own quality, anything Bam does with normal shinsu, but using it instead will cause the technique to have much more potency and density, along with having the effects of the quality. While it's entire range of effects in unknown, we see Bam is able to use it to neutralize shinsu attacks with ease, as shown when he was able to cancel White's sword slash with a Black Water Dragon slash. Another example of what it can possibly do is when it engulfed and devoured Lecalicus, a shinsu serpent that was unleashed from Data Zahard's weapon of the same name, leaving both Data Zahard and Eduan in awe. In Part II, the black shinsu is opaque and looks to have swirling around effect.
In Part III, when Bam used it against White, the latter described the effect of the black shinsu on his sword "As if it's decaying... in rotten water", which dulled and broke down his blade of shinsu/souls. As White drops his barrier to attack, we see his gloves be cut by the black rain, and a seemingly corrosive effect takes place on the edges of the cut, making dark smoke rise from them. In Part III, the same as Bam's standard shinsu, his black shinsu had gained a more water like and pure appearance from Bam's increased control of shinsu.

Other ShapesShinsu Sword: Mimicking Hoaqin's shape while using his stored up soul power, Bam created a glowing sword of shinsu powered by the soul's hatred of White. Shinsu Bow: During the Gakja Dosaeng, Baam easily created a bow made out of shinsu and fired a homing arrow that was able to defeat one of the monsters that was moving too fast for him to hit normally in a single hit. Orb TechniquesBarrier Shield Shinsu OrbAfter realizing that Baam is not an ordinary regular, Data Zahard released his Golden Needle, intending to kill him. This is the same Golden Needle that Data Zahard used to kill Data Asensio and Khun Icardi (Data). However, Baam survived the attack after his Orb created a shinsu barrier field. This barrier is strong enough to defend against an attack like Zahard's Golden Needle. Orb - Rapid-Fire Shinsu Cannon Thorn-Enhanced Shinsu OrbThis ability appears as though countless bangs of shinsu are emitted and combined to form a tremendous impact, like that of a cannon. Baam first used this self-created technique to subdue the Divine Sea Fish that attacked Khun Kiseia.[39] Orb - Spatial Control Thorn-Enhanced Shinsu OrbAfter Kiseia surrendered to Baam, both of them were surprised by Rak's sworn enemy behind Kiseia. When the eel was about to attack Kiseia, Baam released his Thorn-Enhanced Shinsu Orb's power and shot a multiple red waves of shinsu. Through this technique, Baam is able to control all of the terrifying power he experiences and unleashes it in the form of overwhelming pulsating waves. This gives onlookers the impression that shinsu is enveloping the entire area in Baam's vicinity, appearing as though Baam is in control of the entire space.[39]
Orb - Endless Sky Thorn-Enhanced Shinsu Orb After the data Viole has escaped the ice wall of Khun's during the battle, Baam was seen to controlled his orb power and soon was attacked by data Viole with a single massive shinsu shot across his face. Baam quickly throw his orb and released a single powerful beam of energy across the ground from high in the sky, tearing a deep crevice into the earth several meters long and wide.[40] Orb Compression Black Hole OrbBaam was able to compress debris and other materials from the surrounding around his black hole orb in order to protect him from Data Zahard's attacks.[38] Orb Scattering Black Hole OrbBaam is able to break up his black hole sphere orb and scattered it into many pieces to create a barrier against attacks he can't fully defend himself against. It was strong enough to cause Data Zahard's fist to bleed.[38] Scattered the orb to defend against Zahard's hard punch. Orb - Defense Mode Post RevolutionAfter Baam showed his real power, Data Zahard intended to test Baam's power upgrade by attacking him without a chance to rest with the second form of Lecalicus, "Coelacanth". He followed up by summoning several dozen Baam's to attack Baam from all angles, which Baam reacted to putting the orb into defense mode. Black HolePost RevolutionAfter showing his real power, his intense black shinsu seems to be merged with Baam's Shinwonryu. It's strong enough to devour the eel Shinheuh of Lecalicus and partially block the Cosmos skill of Data Zahard.
Triple Orb - First Thorn Fragment Transcendental Skill: Remnants of Stars - Stardust Post Revolution At first usable only after fully igniting the first Thorn fragment, Baam creates three Shinwonryu Orbs which unleashes a massive explosive wave. When used against the data of young Zahard, it not only blocked Zahard's ignition weapon's third form, but also knocked both Zahard and Baam unconscious for several minutes. It also managed to damage Kallavan even if only slightly, making the wound he received from Jinsung worse. By Part III, Baam was able to make use of this technique while only in his Post Revolution form and it's power in this form alone has already increased enough to where it managed to break through Kallavan's defenses and damage him.
Black Orb - Black Rain Black Orb His Giant Black Hole Sphere Orb activated, the power that Baam has within it was able to completely surround the area in pitch-black shinsu and cause repeated sharp rains of shinsu to fall. It's much more potent than the Rainfall skill he used it before, forcing even someone of White's caliber to shield himself constantly with a barrier and even then constantly weakening the shield, easily cutting through White's skin when it was unprotected. It also can serve as both a good offense and effective defense at once, as any attack an opponent tries to launch would be easily countered if it isn't strong enough while the rains will continue to attack the enemy, notably not even letting any damage from two powerful attacks from White. Black Orb - Meteor Shower Black Orb With his Giant Black Hole Sphere Orb, Baam can perform the Meteor Shower skill he used at a dramatically higher level than usual, releasing numerous huge meteor-like blasts of shinsu energy that was able to force White to seriously defend himself using his barrier, even visibly taxing him. |
Physical
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: After being trained by one of the best High Rankers of the Ha Family, Ha Jinsung, Baam has mastered close-range combat with martial arts, displaying knowledge and skill of various fighting styles, although it is unknown what schools or types of arts he was taught by Jinsung, using shinsu to enhance his skills to great effect becoming a very skilled martial artist. But even without shinsu, because of his knowledge in fighting, he was almost able to battle on par with Aleksai Amigochaz.[18] During the one year time skip that leads up to the Hell Train arc, Baam visited a number of martial art dojos and families in the middle area and learned their martial arts by enduring their strikes and blows, mastering them to the extent that he is able to mix and merge together the individual skills of the various martial arts he knows and performs the skills simultaneously, leaving even someone of Daniel Hatchid's level astonished with his skill, causing him to admit Baam's fighting skills were quite impressive.[41] Kaiser later commented on his fighting skills as being astonishingly refined,[42], performing several swift and accurate martial arts moves that forced her to dodge and eventually even managed to restrain her arm with one leg to stop her from switching from Fenryl while dodging her sword strikes to deliver the finishing blow. He even fended off some of Data Zahard's attacks in close-range after training with Data Eduan.
In addition to improving his shinsu control, the 2 years of intensive training he underwent, especially under the martial arts specialist Ha Chai, also allowed Baam to improve his skill in hand-to-hand combat considerably, his fighting style mixing both martial arts attacks along with shinsu, able to seamlessly conjure projections of shinsu and aim it at the enemy and their attacks to intercept them, improving his efficiency even further. At that point, Baam already displayed sufficient skill in unarmed combat to be able to successfully fight against Rankers, as shown when he skillfully fended off the attacks of R's Twin in close-range off while simultaneously being able to deliver Piercing Techniques to eventually defeat him, and later on despite being physically outclassed Pan, Baam was still skilled enough to be able to fight him off and eventually overtake him when he had been pushed back to deliver the Piercing Technique that finished Pan off. By the Battle of the Nest, Baam improved his martial arts prowess even further, reaching sufficient levels to even challenge High Rankers of notable close-range skill, as shown when he managed to fend off Kallavan in close-range for some time and even delivered a single powerful blow on Kallavan with Karaka's help, fairly match Aria, a Division Commander of the New 4th Army Corp who was particularly adept in martial arts with kicks, briefly pressuring her and fending off all her strikes upon her getting serious enough to be able to launch a Shinwonryu to force her back, and was most impressively even capable of fighting decently against White's swordsmanship in close-combat by mixing shinsu with martial arts, proving competent enough to fend off a decent amount of his sword assaults and even deliver attacks that forced White to exert some visible effort to counter and dodge, proceeding to briefly push him into the defensive in close-combat after unlocking his new form. Later on, Bam was able to easily fight off Lo Po Bia Ren in close-range combat, quickly pushing him back with accurate attacks while leaving little openings in their first encounter and easily thwarting Ren's efforts to stab him in their second before defeating him with a single hit. He even defeated Lo Po Bia Elbaba within a matter of seconds through purely physical combat, effortlessly restraining his right hand and landing a powerful punch on Elbaba's jaw before casually unleashing the Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique to incapacitate him.
Some of the martial arts he has learned include:[43]

Expert Swordsman: In Part II, Bam received the right to use Arie Swordsmanship from White's Final Clone, as she is of Arie Hon's blood, Bam can now the power of the swordsmanship even being proficient enough to beat Hoaqin, a born child of the family. It's known the only way to beat a user of Arie Swordsmanship who already has their guard up is to be better at the sword than them, or overpower them with sheer force, it was a combination of having White's own swordcraft/skills and the massive power boost of the power of souls that allowed Bam to completely dispatch Hoaqin in a sword fight. SIU said that Bam previously could not have replicated the swordsmanship of the Arie better than a member of the family, so that is why he had Bam "receive" it instead from White's Final Clone, so that he could use Hoaqin's skills just as well as him. It is said Arie Swordsmanship is required on the higher floors of the Tower, as the density of the shinsu there is too much fiction for swords. The key benefits of Arie Swordsmanship are that it has no blind spots, no good techniques to counteract it, and that it's very unpredictable, as the sword attacks can Teleport across dimensional space in the Tower, said attack can suddenly appear from all directions.
In Part III, although not shown to use swords more than once, upon acquiring the ability to transform the Red Thryssa into a sword on his arm, Baam was shown to be quite skilled enough to be able to immediately make expert use of it, fending off assaults from Rankers of the level of Gado and Daleet effectively, even breaking the latter's needle upon getting close, and quickly defeating Charlie, an elite Ranker, in close-combat, causing Charlie to admit Baam's skill with the sword was quite impressive and made him much better in close-combat. He even briefly fended off White's swordsmanship with the blade of Red Thryssa, exchanging and blocking some blows.
Great Speed and Reflexes: Baam became adept at dodging punches with help from Androssi. In Part II, his speed has increased to the point where he can appear next to someone to deliver a punch in a flash. However, his speed is not at the level of a Ranker yet as Love was able to outrun him to his connector. Regardless, he is almost always seen to be faster than the opponents he has faced, even if in a handicapped position. After communicating with the "Power" inside of him and receiving a little more 'power', Baam has since exhibited rapid, nigh-instantaneous reflexes. He was able to reflexively strike an opponent he couldn't perceive, barely a moment before the opponent was about to strike him. However his reflexes seem instinctual, with his body reacting on its own rather than with conscious thought.[33] Baam showed more conscious control later on and was able to easily track, follow and read his opponent's attacks, allowing him to find an opening and retaliate with an attack of his own.[44] Later, during the last round of the Dallar Show even a Hoaqin that had already absorbed three of his siblings commented on his increasing speed. Baam's speed and reflexes reached levels to where he could handle both Kaiser and Fenryl simultaneously, being fast enough to dodge her reel attacks and quickly cover the distance between them and react to Fenryl normally, eventually managing to move fast enough to stop her from being able to switch with Fenryl and defeat her with a single blow.
By Part III, Baam's speed and reflexes have increased considerably to where he can easily block and react to multiple attacks from Regulars as fast as Varagarv and Keel before casually surpassing them to deliver a finishing blow. He has become fast enough to even contend with Rankers normally, able to successfully fend off the assaults of Baylord Paul's Ranker and deliver hits to ultimately best him, and can even avoid attacks from the particularly fast High Ranker Gado and keep up just enough to fend off his attacks in their fight. After finishing his training and going to the Nest, Baam became fast enough to easily react to almost all of Charlie's attacks, who is stated to be an elite Ranker, only being hit once, and soon force him into the defensive. He was even able to react to and avoid Kallavan's blows enough for Karaka to briefly restrain him for Baam to land a powerful attack. He later on managed to contend with Aria, who is regarded as being a very fast Ranker, surprising her at first and then fending off all of her attacks when she got serious. During his first battle with White, Baam was able to avoid several casual sword strikes from White and upon going all-out and fighting seriously in his second fight with the Slayer, Baam managed to keep up with White just enough to be able to block and narrowly dodge White's assault when he was serious and even move fast enough to be able to deliver attacks on his own.
Exceptional Shinsu Resistance and Physical Durability: Normally, a person would have immense difficulty moving in an area with an enormous density of shinsu as shown by the fact that female Steel Eels live within this area during the breeding season. However, Baam has demonstrated an amazing resistance to shinsu pressure, being able to move freely even in a dense shinsu environment of White Steel Eel's nest on Headon's first test, proving that he excels highly on such a field.[45] This is also displayed during Lero-Ro's test when Baam was unaffected by the shinsu barrier that Lero-Ro, a Ranker, had cast, while the majority of the participating Regulars was being pushed back and thrown away by the barrier.[46] Baam also was blasted by a powerful wave of shinsu by Hong Chunhwa's Ignition Weapon, Narumada, and emerged relatively unscathed by the attack.[47]
In Part II his Shinsu Resistance improved to the point where he is unfazed by the level of shinsu that the average Regular can use. However, he was still somewhat hurt by Love's attacks (whether or not he chose not to dodge is still under speculation). He was also "stopped" by Love, so his Shinsu Resistance is still not up to the level of being able to completely resist a Ranker's techniques. However, he was able to survive Urek Mazino's "Supreme King's Scorching Fist of Death" technique, a truly exceptional feat, even though Urek Mazino massively held back and Baam was left in a bloodied state.[48] It is also possible that some of the severe damage inflicted upon him was because of the Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique since it is a deadly technique that can damage the user themselves. Baam even survived a held-back blast of Shinwonryu from the "God" of Guardians and a casual Data Zahard's Iron Fist, though not without considerable injuries but still able to function enough even after taking those attacks, and after training with Data Eduan, he took multiple strong attacks from Data Zahard with only minimum to moderate injuries.
By Part III, Baam's durability had grown to where he could withstand the attacks of Rankers with little impact and damage to himself, as shown when he took the attacks of a Ranker of Baylord Paul and even Gado, a powerful High Ranker, all with only little pain and no injuries. By the time of the Battle of the Nest, Baam was even able to survive a powerful blow to his forehead from Kallavan and despite suffering considerable injuries, remained able to fight. His durability grew even further along with his strength since his battle with Kallavan, seemingly now superior to Rankers, as he was able to withstand numerous attacks from powerful Ranker-level enemies with no damage and even withstood several vicious attacks from White with only minor injuries and remained fully able to fight.
Exceptional Stamina and Resilience: By Part II, Baam has repeatedly displayed an impressive level of stamina and endurance, so much so that he could still remain able to fight even after taking considerable damage and participate in prolonged battle, along with using his major powers. He was able to keep fighting and pass the test of the floor after having just suffered severe injuries from taking a Shinwonryu from the God of Guardians and he quickly recovered from Data Zahard's Iron Fist to carry Androssi and escape. After training with Data Eduan, Baam's stamina and resilience improved enough to be able to not only shrug off the damage Data Zahard inflicted on him but also access his transformations without showing much strain.
His 3 years of training also dramatically improved his stamina and resilience and though not yet at the level of a Ranker, he still displayed the ability to weave off their attacks without much strain. By the Battle of the Nest, Baam was able to keep fighting against Kallavan even after taking considerable damage from his attacks and using several extremely powerful techniques.
Technique Replication
This section is about the Baam's power and ability of Instant Replication. Baam can copy the opponents' techniques, regardless it's ranker-level or regular-level, simply by seeing it once or taken direct contact to his body. |
Though Baam can replicate almost any technique easily, it has been noted that his power remains the same regardless of the technique's level, him lacking in some of the power behind the attacks (relative to a Ranker). His ability to copy shinsu techniques also extends to him being able to replicate physical techniques as well, after reading a person's movements and then learning the technique upon impact with his body.[41] It was thanks to this aspect that he was able to learn many types of martial arts during the Hell Train time skip. The following is a list of shinsu techniques copied from his battles and the person who he copied it from:

In Part 3, Baam was able to mimic Canine Transformation after Doom trying to transform him into canine, allowing him to partially transform parts of his body into that of numerous shapes using the power of the creatures inside his body. He was also able to mimic Khel Hellam and So-oh teleport combination skill, he had previously been hit by Khel Hellam's shinsu path at the cage and So-oh teleporting shinsu at the wall that seal Dowon. |
The Thorn

The fake thorn's power
In part II, FUG chose Baam to be an experimental subject to create a living ignition weapon. FUG implanted the "Fake Thorn" or so they named it, inside Baam's body. The Fake Thorn is a container that was prepared to hold the real Thorn and was used to summon and bind it to Baam. Although it is called the Fake Thorn it is not impotent by itself, as seen when a large "scar" is cut into the wall when Reflejo first gives Baam the replica.[69] When it was used it granted Baam the strength to overcome both Aleksai Amigochaz and Vespa at the same time.[18] When activated, the Fake Thorn generates a red beam or flare instead of materializing as a physical thorn.

Baam with the Thorn
It turns out that the FUG, in this case, those under Karaka's party and Karaka himself, actually intended to melt Baam with the real Thorn as soon he becomes one with it at the workshop. It is because Karaka wants Enryu's Thorn to be equipped with Baam's irregular status and unique power "Technique Replication". In the end, using the Fake Thorn as a container to summon the real one, Baam obtained the weapon FUG wants to kill Zahard with, floating over the same shoulder Horyang has his wing. Karaka's plan failed and Baam managed to escape from the workshop. When it was still wrapped inside the container, Hwa Ryun expressed that she had some doubts if Baam could actually activate it "properly". When Baam uses shinsu. the Thorn reacts to it giving it a blue or purple glow similar to almost enhancing it; as Ron Mei said that he didn't know how to use it properly yet, it is certain that it wasn't the Thorn's real power.[70] Judging by the reactions of the onlookers at the time, the Thorn was still in a dormant state and it was wrapped, concealed appearance did not reflect its perfected form. During the battle against Reflejo, the real Thorn fully unwrapped itself, revealing its original appearance, along with orange rings of energy circling around it, and was considered by Reflejo to have 'chosen' Baam as its master. When awakened, the Thorn allowed Baam's Flow Control to be effective against the previously immune Reflejo and Khun deduced that it was forcibly controlling the shinsu around the area, a power that he considered "near god-like". Finally, Baam was able to use it to deal a devastating red beam-like punch that ripped right through Reflejo's torso.
SIU said that the weapon wasn't fully activated yet and that it may work differently depending on who's using it, meaning that we haven't even seen its full power yet. Also, SIU has mentioned that it is indeed a growing weapon meaning it can grow to be stronger than it already is and that it would burst out when needed.[71]
A year after the events of the Workshop Battle, Baam gained greater control over the thorn's power, during the "Crazy Yellow Ball" game, he was able to use some of the thorn's power without (aside from Hwaryun) any of the onlookers realizing.[72] He was now up to a level where he could actively use the Thorn's power for 10 minutes per day; any longer than 10 minutes and the Thorn would take over Baam's mind and body before going berserk.[73] In this berserk state, both Baam's physical and shinsu abilities skyrocketed, forcing Rachel's team to escape into the Hell Express.

After undergoing the first part of "Revolution" in the Rice Pot, Baam gained a lot more control over the Thorn's augmentative powers being able to use it without any noticeable drawbacks other than general fatigue. His power and control improves even further throughout his journey on the Hell Express as he continued his "Revolution" and battled on the Name Hunt Station and the Floor of Death
It was then revealed that the Thorn that Baam got from the workshop, wasn't the only one. It's only the 1st out of 4 fragments. Karaka admitted his crimes and plan of the workshop battle to kill Baam at the name hunt station when Baam asked him why he personally came to see him.[74] Although Karaka said that he is no longer interested in the Thorn that Baam owned and he said to just forget it, it was later revealed that he's after the 2nd Thorn fragment on the Floor of Death. Once again, Karaka's plan to get the 2nd Thorn fragment failed miserably because Hell Joe's plan got wrecked and he actually lied to Karaka. Later, Baam was granted access to retrieve the 2nd Thorn fragment by the head of Po Bidau Family, Gustang with the condition that Baam retrieves something from the hidden floor.[75][76]
While on the Hidden Floor, Baam completed his "Revolution" with the help of Khun Eduan (Data) in preparation for his battle with the data of young Zahard. During their fight, Baam fully ignited the Thorn to utilize it's power the best way possible. The increase in power allowed him to fight on par and eventually overwhelm young Zahard, though it exhausted Baam completely.[77] After their battle, a data version of adult Zahard appeared and threatened to kill Baam, causing the second thorn fragment to activate, create a gate, and drag Baam out of the Hidden Floor.[78] The data of King Zahard deduced that the 2nd Thorn had the power to control space, and that it was a power that "desires the abilities of God" before it took Bam away.
After escaping the Hidden Floor, Baam trained with the "God" of guardians to gain control over the power of the 2nd thorn fragment.[79] The "God" of Guardians described it as "mysterious power" when he experienced the sound of it's power to burst space open. During the battle of the Last Station, Baam used both thorns to attack Kallavan.[80]
By Part III, Baam appears to have acquired greater mastery over the second Thorn. He was capable of drawing power from it along with the first Thorn for a powerful attack on Kallavan and was able to make use of it's power to teleport the launcher from the exploding cage.
When at the Navigator's Crossroad, the machine there attempted to send Bam and co. to an undesired location, and Bam uses the power of the 2nd Thorn to redirect the teleportation energy, to take the ship to the Sprout.
After deciding to continue his battle with Dumas, Bam uses the second Thorn to teleport and return to Dumas' Heart Chamber.
Currently, Baam owns 2 Thorn fragments and is on a journey to collect the 3rd fragment. There is a large number of Baam's techniques that were combined with the Thorn's power and it will most likely increase more.
Power of The Souls
When the White's Final Clone was impressed by Baam's determination of "not to sacrificed other people", she decided to grant Baam billions of the vengeful souls that made up her being. The clone stated that if Baam could withstand their resentment and bitterness then he would be granted tremendous power.[81] It held a tremendous power because it is the culmination of White's stored power when he was once a FUG slayer and high ranker. Baam quickly adjusted to this power and used it to overpower Hoaqin. After defeating Hoaqin, Baam noted that the souls' power had disappeared. However, this doesn't mean the souls have disappeared from Baam's body since White's clone stated that the spirits inside of him will help in the future.[82] This was confirmed when Baam and Hockney went to the inner part of 43rd Floor, which requires the person to be stripped of their soul by Soul Devourers and becoming the 'dead'. When Soul Devourers tried to take Baam's soul, they end up pulling a line of souls out of his body instead.[83] The completed White later on stated that Baam not only had the power and right to withstand the power of the souls but had also found a way to wield that power, which would increase his power dramatically and though it would not be enough to defeat Kallavan, it would still be enough to quickly close the gap between them.[84]
At first, Baam was capable of using the soul's power on several occasions to strengthen his other power, like when he increased the offensive power of the Shinwonryu on the final battle against Hell Joe at the floor of death, but he also has formed the souls into weapons, such as a shinsu sword created from the hatred of the souls, and a bow to teleport and save the Canine Needle Launcher.
After White, at his prime, purposefully displayed the full extent of how he burn the power of souls to create his blade, Baam was quickly able to replicate it's effects successfully, impressing White, and then form a bow by burning the souls, combining it with the second Thorn to teleport everyone in the Cage to save them from the 4th Corps Flagship's explosion. He once again burned the souls, in combination with his other powers, for enough power to defeat White. It is unknown how many he burned, but he did seem to receive more when White was defeated and his power was devoured by Bam.
After defeating White, the outline of his crown appeared to be in Bam, it not being present on Hoaqin's head anymore afterwards. White describes the crown as a token given to "A lord who towers over the dead" so it's likely it has something to do with the control of souls.
Blue Thryssa
Blue Thryssa appeared to Baam for the first time in the form of a red ball when Baam fainted upon exhausting himself from excessively using the Thorn, it called itself as "power" and claimed to had been called as "demon that you guys created" by those studied it. During the Hell Train arc at the Rice Pot Training with the God of the Guardian, Blue Thryssa confirm that he was the power that previously talk to Baam. According to the Blue Thryssa, his power is the power that can bring Baam quickly straight to the top of the tower, to become a god-like being. Although Baam later refused the Blue Thryssa's offer because Baam simply didn't trust the blue Thryssa and said that the Blue Thryssa was a fake power that tried to corrupt, tricked, and guided him in the wrong way.
It was later confirmed, that the Blue Thryssa is not actually a fake power like what Baam believed, when Hell Joe who was merged with Red Thryssa's power, felt the power of the Blue Thryssa inside Baam's body and feared of its presence. Hell Joe was so shocked as to why Baam has such power inside him, he said that the Blue Thryssa's power is akin to the power of the Administrator.

The Exoskeleton Healing Bam
Healing Exoskeleton: When Baam is wounded, a crimson lobster-like exoskeleton forms on the exterior of his body which heals his wounds.[15] However, it is not effective for every wound, as it was not activated after his battle with Urek Mazino. Ja Wangnan observes that it must have limits to the degree of wounds it can heal.
Horyang suspected that Bam may be an possibly example of a living Ignition Weapon because of it. Baam told him that he has no idea of its true identity nor how to utilize it upon command. Baam commented to Horyang that a mysterious power was put within him by FUG when he was first recruited; apparently, it was well hidden in the water tank on the 2nd Floor. During workshop battle, Beta revealed that the power that FUG hid inside Baam is a demon that rivalled a god and is able to ignite the true Thorn.[85] It is somewhat made clear it is a predeveloped form of Blue Thryssa, as during the first time it revealed itself inside Baam's mind, Blue Thryssa who still had the appearance of a crimson ball claimed to had been called as "demon that you guys created" by the scientists who studied it and know that Baam had always wanted to go up the tower, implying that it had been staying with Baam for a while.[86] Blue Thryssa is also the only demon within Baam during his first revolution.
Blue Thryssa Transformation
Blue Thryssa - Level Two Transformation:
- Blue Shield: During the battle with Kallavan, Baam thought of a way to protect himself without the help of others. Because of this, Baam was able to transform by using the Blue Thryssa's power. This power created a blue shield on Baam's left arm. It was able to repel 2 attacks from Kallavan before it was broken on the third attack. It later proved strong enough to block White's sword, leaving it stuck inside of it.
Blue Thryssa - Level Three Transformation:
- Blue Shield: To fight and overwhelm The Serpent Master, Baam unstably unleashed this level of transformation. Design wise, the shield grew longer, the shinsu around it flares more, and it also gained an eye similar to the Red Thryssa Transformation. It also gained the ability to project a shinsu barrier on Bam's left side.
Red Thryssa
After its defeat at the hands of Urek Mazino and Baam, it appeared that there is a red entity that went inside of Baam's body. It was then confirmed by Urek Mazino that the red thing that went inside of Baam is the Red Thryssa, saying that he was surprised as to why he suddenly felt there is the Red Thryssa's vibe and aura came from Baam. Currently, there are no known techniques derived from this power. Although, there is a scene where Baam was shown to be trying to control an Orb, with the Red Thryssa seeming to help him. It is unknown if every ability displayed by Hell Joe can now be used by Bam.
Red Thryssa Transformation
Red Thryssa - Level One Transformation:
- Sword: During the battle with Gado, Baam was able to transform the Red Thryssa inside him into long arm sword. This Level 1 Transformation is strong enough to break through a High-Ranker's attack and even harm them in the process.[87]
- Tail: A long-metallic tail is added onto the sword and it was able to destroy a powerful weapon of a Ranker when wrapped around the blade. This Tail transformation's length can be adjusted. (First achieved with the help of Khun and the Fire Fish's boosting)
Red Thryssa - Level Two Transformation:
- Sword: After igniting the Thorn, Baam was able to progress his transformation to level two. The blade of the transformation grows longer, thinner, and becomes lined with red shinsu. This transformation's attack, which was a quick and long extension of the blade, when combined with a Shinsu Black-Hole Sphere, the color turns a shade of pinkish-red, and was able to cut off Gado's transformed leg after Canzon pinned him down and held up his weak spot.
Red Thryssa - Level Three Transformation:
- Sword: To fight and overwhelm The Serpent Master, Baam unstably unleashed this level of transformation. Design wise, the blade grew longer, the shinsu around it flares more, a set of jaws with two rows of sharp teeth form around the blade, the fins grow longer, and the tail grows thicker.
Revolution
After going through the first part of his Revolution, Baam displayed immense growth, seamlessly destroying Hell in a Cell's shinsu chains and defeating one of Yama's Mad Dogs with the thorn. Baam was also able to confront and to some extent match Hoaqin who already absorbed three of his siblings.
Before reaching the Name Hunt Station, Baam experienced a second revolution after which Baam was able to avoid Kaiser's invisible attacks, utilize seven Baangs, and effortlessly defeat Yukan, one of the stronger Regulars among the Ten Bosses, without using the thorn.
After completing his Revolution on the Hidden Floor, Baam gained a better understanding of himself and his power. This allows him to enter a new form. In this form, his shinsu turns black with a grey hue. Two shinsu (solid with pierce ignition) horns, the left one blue and the right one red, formed on his head, and Baam also makes use of the first Thorn Fragment constantly in this form, as displayed by its activation, and becomes stronger when pierce igniting the Thorn. Later he also gained two black wings made out of shinsu with Blue Oar disks beneath them. Baam commented that this allowed him to use Blue Oar faster than the usual way. With this mode, he is able to contend with a serious Data Zahard for a reasonable period of time. By Part III, Baam in this form (albeit with black shinsu) is able to even threaten High Rankers on the top 100 level, as shown when he along with Karaka managed to damage and hold their own against Kallavan and later after growing further in strength, he single-handedly stood up to and ultimately pushed White to reveal a sword that he rarely used to defeat him.
- Twenty-Fifth Night Style: Extreme Black-Winged Butterfly Attack (스물다섯번째 밤 류 극의 진 흑익 화접공파술): Baam's personal style of Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique, this is the first of Twenty-Fifth Night style. It was powerful enough to blow Data Zahard back a large distance while his guard was raised and damaged part of his mask.[88]
- Twenty Fifth Night Style Special Skill: Extreme Blue Oar (스물다섯번째 밤 류 특수기 진 청노): Baam's personal version of Blue Oar where he tremendously increases the diameter of the disk, and adds black shinsu to the circumference. When used against Data Zahard, it cut through and destroyed much of the arena they were fighting in. It is also called "Ultimate Blue Shield" in LINE Webtoons.[89]
- Baam-type Shinsu Control Skill: Orb - Defense Mode (밤류 신수 제어술 오브 방어 모드): Baam covers himself with dark blue shinsu shaped like a sphere. It was able to completely block 21 baangs from Data Zahard. [77]
- Blue Oar - Wings Mode: Baam unconsciously created this variation of the Blue Oar in his fight against Data Zahard to improve his maneuverability in battle.[77] Although the design of this technique is inconsistent most of the time, it always somewhat resembles the wings of a butterfly.
- 'Twenty-Fifth Night' Baam Style Shinsu Control Skill: Endless Sky (밤 류 신수제어술 장천): A technique used by Baam, while using his ownshinsu control and quality. At first Baam concentrated black shinsu between his palms, then unleashed it outwards to his left and right, before he aligned and fired it as black shinsu beam at his opponent. Baam combined the power of the Black March use Endless Sky to perform a powerful attack that was capable of destroying Great Whaley, which the Altar Director claimed was able to withstand most attacks, in just a single attack.[90]

After losing to White, Baam, reflecting deeply on how his weakness lead to tragedies happening to his friends, decided to tap upon as much of his inner power and the strength available to him as he could in order to prevent such things from ever happening again and also to return things to normal, and was able to activate a new form that appears to be a far more powerful version of his Post Revolution mode, the Thorn activating at a far higher size and the horns on his head gaining a black coloring, with the original colors now being hues. The form appears to energize Baam and negate all his wounds, as the moment he achieved that form, he was almost instantly able to get back up and seems completely unhindered by the injuries he suffered at White's hands. The level of power Baam has in this form easily exceeds even that of White, as he was able to effortlessly counter White's attacks and push him back, leaving White astonished and wary and stating Baam has awakened an entirely different level of strength in himself, even having to admit despite his arrogance that Baam is stronger than him.
- Enhanced Shinsu Reinforcement: Baam has dramatically enhanced Baam's shinsu reinforcement and physical capabilities. The Blue Thryssa giving his left side more of a defensive boost, while the Red Thryssa gave his right side an offensive boost. He was fast enough to repeatedly cover the distance between him and White in an instant, leaving White barely able to react to his attacks, and strong enough to block bare-handed White's sword.
After losing to Dumas and being partially healed by Gustang, Bam enters a new mode with seemingly heightened power. In this mode, his horns flare upwards a great degree than ever, and he emits lightning-like (It is unknown if this is a genuine lightning shinsu quality) shinsu to show his power. He doesn't seem to have any new abilities, but his transformation aspects are evolved, making a stronger looking version of his stage 1 Red Thryssa Sword that flares larger, and being able to use it on his left side, when it normally only can appear on his right.
Leviathan
Leviathan is a powerful Shinheuh in the Tower. Bam encountered Leviathan in the center of battle of the Nest, The Frozen Waterfall, where it was trapped in a spell seal by Lo Po Bia Traumerei. After refusing Leviathan's initial offer of power, Bam, with the help of Vicente, transplanted the seal of Leviathan into himself. The raw power of the beast flows throughout Bam with the little of the seal undone, and Bam comments on it tremendous power. Bam describes the power of Levithan as "alive" and with a mind of it's own, meaning it's too risky to use outwardly with the power of transformation, so he uses it's power as shinsu only, and he believes the best way to channel the power currently is through his Water Dragon technique.
- Blue Dragon Claws: Channeling Leviathan's power into his hands, the dragon's visage wrapping around his left arm, Bam executes a hand stab into his target, then follows up with a palm strike from his other hand, that unleashes a blast, with the dragon's visage wrapping around it, so powerful that Lo Po Bia Holan was pushed back far and would've sustained a large amount of damage had he not defended.
- Sea Dragon Reflux - Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique: A doubled-handed close range reverse flow control technique so powerful it was even able to paralyze half of Dumas' body.
External Transformation
Bam uses the power and body of Leviathan in a way akin to external transformation of the Canine's, the main difference being the ethereal look of Leviathan while Bam uses it like this. This was commented on to be some form of transformation by Lo Po Bia Perseus, who's reins were easily snapped by the dragon's body when he tried to grab Bam.
Leviathan Transformation
During the battle with Dumas, Leviathan finally granted Bam access to his power, and Bam used it with the ability of transformation.
Leviathan - Four Claws:
The transformation mode using Leviathan's power. While the meaning is unknown, is this mode, Bam's horns flare upwards and spiral to form a helix.
- Bow: In this mode, Bam manifests two "pincers" akin to Leviathan's that float on the side of his body, and when needed, he combines the front ends of them, to merge and form a longbow. With this bow, he can charge an arrow strongly imbued with Leviathan's power, which has an ethereal visage of Leviathan's body coil around it's path when shot.
- Bracers: In this mode, Bam manifests a set of barbed visages of Leviathan's body made of high-density shinsu, that coil and spin around Bam's forearms for defensive and offensive purposes, which even damaged Dumas with their sharpness and rotational power strong enough to twist and rend his arm into a contorted and torn apart mess. When unleashing a barrage of blows, Bam can manifest more of these shinsu spirals to attack from different angles of the direction he's hitting.
- Wings: In this mode, Bam manifests large wings of shinsu, that he uses to block attacks by controlling their movements.
- Enhanced Senses: With Leviathan's power, Bam senses are extremely keen and sharpened to the point where he can detect minuscule movements such as muscle or hair twitches, as well as his opponent's overall power better than he could before.
Other
Intelligence
Baam has good fighting instincts as shown when he instinctively scattered his orb in the air to block the fist of Zahard (Data).[91] He also has good analysis skills, he correctly determined a Steel Eel's weakness within a few seconds,[45] and like White he was able to understand the secret behind Aria's ability.[92]
Since Part II, Baam has displayed a considerable level of intelligence after the training he received from FUG, acquiring a lot of knowledge on various topics about the Tower that he did not know about in Part I and developing a fair amount of ability in strategical thinking, as displayed in his ability to outsmart Androssi using Emile and locate Beta despite the latter's attempts to fool his own pursuers.[93] While he is not a forward thinker like Khun nor as skilled in tactics as his friend is, Baam has nevertheless displayed himself to be a competent battle strategist who specializes more in working on the go, being able to make quick analysis during the field of battle and come up with strategies to fend off the enemies or overcome them.
Great Charisma
Baam has shown quiet yet charismatic qualities that attract most people to him, regardless of his involvement with FUG. Novick notes that Baam is like a shining light that causes people to endlessly follow him.[94]
Lighthouse Control

Baam using Lighthouses
Although it is not his primary Position, Baam has displayed some skill to communicate with and manipulate Lighthouses. He can at least manipulate three Lighthouses, though how much Xia Xia helped him is up for debate.
- In one instance, he manipulated three Lighthouses to enhance the effects of his Fast Skip to both freeze Ran's attack and also freeze Novick from stealing the bomb detonator,[17] and also used a lighthouse to 'alter' his voice when Khun arrived at the Hand of Arlen.[95]
Piercing
Baam has displayed the ability to absorb the powers of special artifacts by impaling himself with it, which allowed him to draw on and utilize a tremendous amount of the artifact's power far beyond what he normally could.

Living Ignition Weapon
As a part of FUG's early plans for Bam, he was involved and inducted into research into Living Ignition Weapons by the Workshop. It's unknown what exactly this means for Bam, but it can be assumed this is the reason he can do Piercing, and ignite items inside himself to use their full power. Bam was considered a success and so Beta refer to him as "The Completed One" when they meet. Beta was an after effect of the tests done on Bam.
"The Power to Devour Everything"
Baam is described to be capable of devouring/absorbing all things, with endless space to do so. This was mentioned by the Blue Thyrssa to Bam himself, as well as Leviathan's inner dialogue when it saw the inside of Bam. There is a "Light" inside Bam which seems to be his nucleus that can completely engulf and devour what's already inside him, such as the hundreds of souls and their power when he needed it against White.
Shinsu Negation
An effect of Bam's Shinwonryu is that it's able to absorb or negate shinsu based attacks.
Spell Immunity/Resistance
Baam has displayed an unseen resistance to most Spells, as shown when he was completely unaffected by Levy's Question Mark Curse. He even developed the ability to break powerful spells with ease, as he easily lifted the spell on Baylord Doom's heart, broke the powerful protective spell on the First Defensive Wall of the Nest just by touching it, and he even could easily lift the powerful advanced immortality spell placed on Aria by the Workshop just by a single gesture without contact. The only time a spell has effected Bam in the seen series, is against Kaiser and her wolf, Fenryl's Bite. A preservation spell was cast on Bam's body as a baby, by the greatest sorceress in the Tower, Arlene Grace, to keep him intact to revive him, it is unknown if this spell or others she placed on him are still in effect.
Weapons
- Black March: One of the 13th Month Series, it is a B-rank Needle that has majority of the time only been Ignited when used by Baam.[97] Yuri Zahard lent it to Baam to be used at Headon's Test, but he later carried it to the Second Floor tests before he lost it in a bet to Anak Zahard; it was later retrieved again by Yuri Zahard.[98] The last time we saw the Black March, it was inside Baam, as it was devoured/absorbed during the battle at the Last Station. Yuri confirmed that she would be leaving it with him, as it didn't want to come back to her, forcing her to continue to use a replica and Bam to not use it to hide the fact that she lost it. Near the end of the battle with Dumas, her shinsu seemed to fill in Bam's stomach, and her spirit appeared to guide and advise him.
