ALOHA, NICE TO MEET YOU!

My name is Tim Dalhouse. I grew up in North Carolina and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1985 at the age of 18. I served almost 24 years of active duty as a United States Marine retiring in 2009 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant/E9. I deployed all over the world and aboard the USS Bataan participating in numerous combat operations as an Avionics Chief including NATO Operation Enduring Freedom (Bosnia-Herzegovina), the Iraq War, and the Global War on Terror. I also served as a Recruiter, Instructor, and Manpower Manager at Headquarters, Marine Corps at Quantico.

The highest honor of my Marine Corps career was performing as a Casualty Escort bringing home the remains of 3 Marines killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom to their families. My military awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (twice), Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (twice), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, NATO Medal, & the Armed Forces Service Medal.

After the Marine Corps, I worked in the Washington, DC area as a Project Manager in private industry software development and at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in pharmaceutical regulation. In 2017 I founded the global training company, PM-ProLearn, and serve as the CEO. PM-ProLearn trains 200-300 students per month and employs 31 Americans with good-paying jobs.

I hold an MBA degree and I am a Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as an International Consortium for Agile Certified Practitioner (ICP).

My wife, Alicia, and I lived on Oahu for two years and now make our home in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island since September 2020. I am a husband, father and dog owner. As a local entrepreneur, my wife and I revitalized the Kona Plaza Shops, now home to five tenant businesses employing over 20 local residents. We personally started and currently operate two of those businesses, the Hungry Honu Smoothie Bar & Café and Kona Fat Bikes. We also enjoy growing avocado and cacao for the local community on our organic micro-farm, and we love SCUBA diving in the beautiful Kona waters.

As a community servant leader, I am a board member with the Kailua Village Business Improvement District (KVBID), a board member of the Kona Plaza Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO), and I’m an active member of Grace Kona Community Church where I previously served as a deacon.

In 2022, I ran for the U.S. Senate, winning the majority vote on all neighboring islands in the Republican Primary, including Big Island.

I am now excited to offer new, effective leadership in the Hawaii State House and look forward to winning the vote of District 7 voters in 2024!
