Steven Calhoun is a supporting antagonist in the Amazon series The Boys. He is the current President of the United States of America, former senator from Oklahoma and former Speaker of the House of U.S. Representatives.
He is introduced as a US Senator who serves as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services. He was blackmailed by Madelyn Stillwell, with a hidden camera sex tape of him blindfolded and committing sexual acts on an undisguised Doppelganger, into approving legislative bill that would allow Supes to be integrated into the U.S Armed Forces.
He is later elected Speaker of the United States House of Representatives after a contentious 18 rounds of voting. Calhoun is one of Tek Knight's guests at a party he hosts for the Federalist Society. He eventually agrees to join Homelander's planned coup against President-Elect Robert Singer when Vice President-Elect Victoria Neuman promises to wield executive power to benefit the elite Federalist Society members, winning their support for his secret plot to take control of the country.
After Neuman's assassination and President-Elect Robert Singer's arrest for supposedly ordering it, Calhoun is effectively made and sworn into office as the President of United States of America. Once he's secured power and after having earlier accepted taking part in his grand scheme of establishing a Supe-supremacist government, he willingly submits his authority to Homelander's influence. While acting as Vought's figurehead, one of his first official acts as the newly-inaugurated president, in response to the nationwide civil unrest in the aftermath of the results of the disputed presidential election after V.P-elect Victoria Neuman was exposed as being a Supe and his controversial ascension to the presidential office, is to declare martial law across the United States and deputize Homelander's entire private army of Supes, with the support of the U.S federal government and Vought's private security forces, under Homelander's personal command.
