On October 8, 1976, after the Marathon Man premiere, The Legend and Marlon Brando engaged in sexual intercourse. After that, The Legend convinced Marlon to cut his presumably negative quote on the Steel Knight movie, preventing the movie from failing.

After the Boys go to speak with The Legend regarding Soldier Boy's whereabouts, The Legend reminisces about the night of the Marathon Man premiere. The Legend also mentions how, as a result of that night, he was able to prevent Marlon Brando from ruining Steel Knight's movie.
