Hello, Betsy. How are you feeling?
Edison Cardosa to Betsy.[src]

Betsy is a minor character of the Amazon series Gen V, a spinoff of The Boys. She is a student at Godolkin University and later a test subject of the Woods.

Background[]

Betsy was born in the early 2000s, and shortly after her birth, her parents accepted Vought's offer to inject her with Compound V, subsequently transforming her into a Supe and granting her superhuman powers and abilities.

Due to having a mental illness or being mentally unstable, Betsy would be placed in the Woods for testing purposes, where should would be experimented on with a supe-killing virus and studied.

The Boys Series[]

Gen V: Season 1[]

"Jumanji"[]

In the Woods, Betsy is approached by Edison Cardosa and Indira Shetty inside her cell. She is chained to a wall and coughing, having been injected with a virus. Edison inquires as to how she's feeling, but Betsy remains silent. She then attempts to use her powers on them, but they appear to be weakened.

Indira returns to the Woods to see Betsy. Edison nervously waits outside her cell, telling Indira that he was only following orders. When the two enter Betsy's cell, they find her body on the floor, covered in blisters, having died after being injected with a more concentrated virus they created.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Electricity Generation: Betsy's main ability allows her to generate electricity from her palms. The extent of her powers is unknown, and after being injected with a virus, they have been drastically weakened.
  • Superhuman Hearing: Betsy possesses superhuman hearing, allowing her to hear better than humans. Like all Supes, she can hear higher frequencies that humans cannot.[1]

Weaknesses[]

Biological[]

  • High Frequencies: Due to being a Supe, Betsy is susceptible to high frequencies. When a high frequency is playing, it can induce immense pain and temporarily neutralize her.
  1. Bob in First Day: "Did you know Supes have a wider range of hearing than us? Like dogs."
