That was Andy. He was hilarious. And then really sad. He was bipolar.
Sam Riordan to Cate Dunlap regarding Andy.[src]

Andy is a minor character in the Amazon series Gen V, a spin-off series of The Boys. He is a student at Godolkin University and later a test subject of the Woods.

Background[]

Andy was born in the early 2000s, and shortly after his birth, his parents accepted Vought's offer to inject him with Compound V, subsequently transforming him into a Supe and granting him superhuman powers and abilities.

Due to having a mental illness, Andy would be placed in the Woods for testing purposes, where he would be experimented on with a supe-killing virus and studied.

The Boys Series[]

Gen V: Season 1[]

"Sick"[]

In the Woods, Andy is being watched in an observational cell by Edison Cardosa and Indira Shetty. He has been injected with a concentrated version of the virus that is contagious through bodily fluids. He is in late stage infection suffering from full body blisters, coughing, difficulty breathing and throwing up blood. He has been placed in the cell with other supes in the hopes of infecting them.

Watching this, Indira asks to speed up the creation of the virus and make it airborne, to which Edison objects. Andy is seen huddled on a bench in the cell holding himself.

"Guardians of Godolkin"[]

After Cate and Sam liberate the test subjects from The Woods, Andy is seen lying dead on the ground. Sam recognizes him and tells Cate about his Bipolar Disorder.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Superhuman Hearing: Andy possesses superhuman hearing, allowing him to hear better than humans. Like all Supes, he can hear higher frequencies that humans cannot.[1]

Weaknesses[]

Biological[]

  • High Frequencies: Due to being a Supe, Andy is susceptible to high frequencies. When a high frequency is playing, it can induce immense pain and temporarily neutralize him.

Trivia[]

  • As stated by Sam, Andy suffers from Bipolar Disorder. This makes him the second Supe known to have BP in The Boys universe, with Mindstorm being the first.
  1. Bob in First Day: "Did you know Supes have a wider range of hearing than us? Like dogs."
