• This item is a reference to Terraria streamer and YouTuber James/ChippyGaming's second channel, Chippy's Couch.
• The first part of the tooltip, "Heeellllllo Terraria enthusiasts!", references the catchphrase ChippyGaming's YouTube videos used to begin with.
• The second part of the tooltip, "'Great for chilling like a streamer!'", is both a reference to ChippyGaming and to developer items, whose tooltips are similar ("'Great for impersonating devs!'").
• Chippy's Couch is dropped by Skeletron because ChippyGaming's Terraria characters often resemble the Clothier NPC and that his favourite boss is Skeletron.
