Survivor Srbija VIP: Costa Rica, also known as Survajvor Srbija VIP: Kostarika when transcribed, is the fourth season of Survivor Srbija and the second season of Survivor Hrvatska. The season featured 18 contestants from Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Croatia (for the first time). The Sole Survivor was Serbian model Vlada Vuksanović, beating Serb Milan Gromilić, Montenegrin Nikola Šoć and Croat Sebastian Fleiss in a 6-5-2-0 vote.
Production[]
This was the first season of Survivor Srbija with castaways from Croatia.[1] It premiered on the Serbian channel Prva on March 12, 2012. It was also broadcast on RTL in Croatia,[2] OBN in Bosnia and Herezgovina,[3] Sitel in North Macedonia and PRO TV in Montenegro (all of which had the title Survivor VIP: Kostarika or Survivor: Kostarika).
Twists[]
- V.I.P.: The season consisted of 18 celebrities.
- Longer Game: The season lasted 37 days, 5 days longer than the previous.
- It is shorter than the previous Croatian season by 8 days.
- Schoolyard Pick: The tribes were decided by a schoolyard pick. The pickers were decided by a buff draw on day 1, with the man and woman who drew an odd buff being the pickers.
- Tribe Captains: Each tribe choses a captain every cycle, with the stipulation that one player can't be captain twice in a row. They're given individual immunity at Tribal Council.
- Special Challenges: From cycle 1 until cycle 11, challenge winners were allowed to compete in a challenge for either an Extra Vote or a Black Vote, which will add an extra vote against the eliminated castaway's chosen player at the next Tribal Council. By cycle 12, the castaways had to compete for a spot in the final.
- Exile Island: The tribe that wins a Reward Challenge gets to pick a player from the winning tribe to go to a deserted island all by themselves. The same mechanic carries on into the merge, but instead of a tribe, the indivudal who wins Reward gets to choose. Castaways may also banisht themselves.
- Ostrvo odbačenih: When a castaway is voted out of the game, they will be sent to this season's equivalent of Redemption Island. Two castaways participate in a duel, with the losing castaway being out of the competition permanently. The two remaining castaways rejoin the game at the merge.
- Double Tribal Council: Both tribes attended Tribal Council on cycle 5.
