Ari was selected by tribe captain Ugo Latriche to be a part of the Pitogo tribe. The Pitogo tribe had good chemistry throughout the first cycle, winning the first immunity challenge and successfully building a fire, though its members became split regarding who should be eliminated upon their loss of the second immunity challenge. With challenge strength being a priority, most of the men felt that Marie Vilaseca should be voted out while the women felt that it should be Ari instead. Not wanting for the tribe to be divided by sex and feeling that Ari's performance in the previous challenge was indeed worse than Marie's, Alexandre Cheron considered voting against him with the women, but he liked Ari so he also considered voting against Marie in order to tie the vote, forcing a rock draw between the two targets and leaving it up to chance. Meanwhile, Ari sat with Cécile Belec and proposed to her that she and possibly another one of the women throw their votes onto Alexandre so that Marie receives the majority of the votes instead of him without Cécile B. and whoever else having blood on their hands. Cécile B. was not convinced and, at Tribal Council, Alexandre finally decided to vote against Ari, resulting in the latter's elimination in a 6-4 vote.
