Student Affairs is committed to creating a holistic culture of well-being that promotes student flourishing. Holding social justice values at its core, we offer a myriad of mental health, physical health, and wellness services and resources. Our medical team, professional staff, and trained peers are ready to support you in your mental health and well-being journey.

Mental Health Resources at Stanford

This website is your go-to hub for navigating the many mental health and well-being resources at Stanford. Whether you are seeking advice to establish your self-care routine, looking for ways to manage stress or mental health symptoms, tips to help a friend, someone supportive to talk to, or anything in between, you are not alone.

Professional staff and your peers are ready to support you, regardless of what point you are in your mental health and well-being journey.

This online publication is your monthly guide to flourishing on the Farm. Check out tips, articles, events, and resources to support your mental health and well-being.

TimelyCare

TimelyCare expands both the times and the locations where Stanford students can receive care: The service offers 24/7 virtual medical and mental health care and can serve students anywhere in the United States. TimelyCare is offered as a supplement to the extensive existing in-person and virtual services offered by Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Vaden Medical Services, and other Vaden and on-campus resources.

Helping You Flourish on the Farm

From medical services to counseling, substance use programs and education to wellness courses, (and more!) we have you covered. You'll also find valuable tools like a go-to hub that highlights mental health resources, an online publication with tips and articles to support your flourishing, and the Red Folder for faculty and staff here.

Vaden Health Services

Vaden Health Services is dedicated to providing you with exceptional care to support your health and well-being. For more information about our services, we invite you to explore the options below and beyond. 

Confidential Support Team (CST)

Our Mission is to support connection, healing, and thriving among Stanford community members impacted by sexual, relationship, and gender-based violence through confidential, trauma-informed consultation, counseling, and outreach.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

We are a diverse range of cross-disciplinary staff who are personally and ethically committed to providing care that is rooted in cultural humility and social-justice values.

Medical Services

Medical Services is your first stop for the diagnosis and treatment of illness, injury, and ongoing conditions, as well as for preventive counseling and education. Our dedicated and professional clinicians provide a full range of care, from screening tests to medical emergencies.

Insurance & Referral Office

Stanford University requires that all registered students carry adequate health insurance. This requirement can be met either through Cardinal Care, the university sponsored health insurance plan, or through an alternative insurance plan that has comparable benefits.

Pharmacy

The Walgreens at Vaden, a separate organization co-located with Vaden,  pharmacy specializes in students’ needs. The pharmacists work closely with the Vaden clinicians and deliver highly personalized service. 

Office of Substance Use Programs Education & Resources (SUPER)

Reduce high-risk alcohol and other drug usage and their related harms among Stanford students by utilizing health promotion principles through collaborative, cutting-edge, empirically-proven educational strategies and programs.
