Dog Boarding
You may be nervous about boarding your dog while you’re away, and that’s understandable. There’s no need to worry, though! Our dog boarding program is built around keeping your dog occupied and happy during their stay. They’ll be given lots of opportunities to play, run around, burn off some energy, and socialize with other dogs. That way they’ll be able to enjoy their vacation as much as you do!
Walks are a cornerstone of our approach, and we understand that there is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to dog walking. Because of this, we tailor each walk for the specific needs of each of our furry guests. We also make sure your dog has lots of time to do their business, get some exercise, and sniff around.
In order to board your pup, we’ll need current vaccination records and written proof of DHLPP and Bordetella before check-in. If your pup is over four months old, we’ll also need rabies vaccination records. This is for the protection of our staff and our other furry guests.
When you are preparing for your pet’s stay, here are some things to consider:
· A feeding schedule
· Your dog’s favorite food and treats
· Bedding
· Kennel crate (if properly trained)
· Your pup’s favorite toys and blankets

Obedience Training
While it’s great being friends with your pup, you also need to be their master. Dogs aren’t humans—even if they sometimes act like they are. They seek out a master-subject relationship with their owners and if you aren’t the master…you’re the subject. In order to ensure your dog is obedient, you’ll need to make sure you take on the pack leader role. Once you’ve established the master role in the relationship, they’ll be much more likely to listen to your commands.
We work with dogs and their owners on obedience and the family chain-of-command to ensure success.
The Dog Training Process
Along with becoming pack master, you also need your dog to understand and listen to commands. We work with dogs on all of the basic commands to ensure they not only know them, but listen when asked to perform them. We drill these basic commands until they become second nature.
Some other things we focus on include:
· Mental stimulation
· Exercise
· Socialization
· Breaking bad habits
There are certain behaviors that your dog shouldn’t be engaged in, and we make sure to address and stop these behaviors.
Some of the negative behaviors we address include:
· Excessive barking
· Leash pulling
· Rushing in or out of the door
· Jumping on people
· Eating off the counter
· Charging at other animals
· Stealing food from other animals
Along with our in-depth training, we also provide dogs with the opportunity for socialization. Socialization is a key part of dog training, and it’s important for your dog to be able to properly socialize in a safe and healthy way. We not only encourage dogs to socialize, but we also arrange distractions to ensure their ability to focus and listen to commands.
