The case of the Rebel Alliance[]

Tricky question here: is the Rebel Alliance technically a dictatorship? Although their aim is to restore democracy eventually (which they did, with the creation of the New Republic), Chancellor Mon Mothma exercises power without hereditary right or free consent of the people through elections. --Lelal Mekha ^{(Audience Room)} 09:19, June 21, 2017 (UTC)

We could note that the Rebel Alliance was technically a dictatorship as well as also note its motives for restoring democracy. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 10:34, June 21, 2017 (UTC)
