A swoop gang was a type of gang of individuals that presumably rode around on swoops, a type of vehicle that was faster and more dangerous than a standard speeder bike. Holshef, riding with Merei Spanjaf in an attempt to escape the Galactic Empire's patrols, objected to her rate of speed, stating he didn't spend his youth in a swoop gang, but Spanjaf simply warned him that they would have to go a lot faster if they were pursued by a patrol, urging him to hang on.[1]
