Scout trooper armor was the standard armor worn by the Imperial scout troopers. Their helmets could also be retracted up while still being worn, allowing the wearer's face to be revealed unlike regular stormtrooper helmets.[5] Under their armor, scout troopers wore a body glove. Their cummerbund had two pouches which was commonly used for storing survival rations. On the back of the breastplate was a power unit backpack which could also store extra gear. Scout troopers wore boots complete with holsters for EC-17 hold-out blasters,[1] their standard-issue weapon.[6]
During the New Republic Era, the pirate and member of the Warbird gang Vusk wore old scout trooper armor. The Kassk had customized the armor, with the helmet visor having been colored red and the black gloves being adorned with rank insignia plaques.[4]
