"For those who know me or have been following me for some time can imagine what a huge moment this is for me, and I'll treasure it always. Thank you everyone who enjoyed and supported my stuff, especially my Star Wars fan art, for the past few years. You helped me get here with your encouragement, friendship, and passion for this incredible galaxy, and I'll always treasure that, as well 💛"
―Ksenia Zelentsova on illustrating The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark[4]

Ksenia Zelentsova (born December 16, 1992[1] in Moscow, Russia),[2] also known as "Lornaka," is a Russian visual artist. In 2020, she illustrated the cover and interior art for the anthology The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark. She also participated in the Art Shows of 2022's Celebration Anaheim and 2025's Celebration Japan, with two paintings, "One Heart Divided" and "The Travelers," respectively.

Biography[]

"Ever since the purrgil were first introduced in Star Wars Rebels I have been captivated by both their unique design and the idea of these original space travelers on their neverending path. As I was inspired to draw the iconic scene of Ahsoka connecting to the whales when pursuing her own journey, I was interested in trying to capture their contrasting coloring as it appeared in Rebels, as it was the design that first made me fall in love with these creatures."

The Russian[2] visual artist[3] Ksenia Zelentsova, also known as "Lornaka," was born on December 16, 1992,[1] in Moscow, Russia.[2] For the Star Wars franchise, she illustrated the cover and interior art for the 2020 anthology The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark. StarWars.com revealed Zelentsova's involvement and cover art in a news post on April 16, 2020. The anthology[6] and its audiobook adaptation[7] were released on August 25 of the same year.[6] Zelentsova considered working on the book to be a pleasure and felt that it was a huge moment that she would always treasure.[4]

In 2022, Zelentsova was featured in Celebration Anaheim's Art Show with her piece "One Heart Divided," which featured members of[8] the special forces unit[9] Clone Force 99. When working on the piece, she focused on depicting the strong emotional bonds that connected them, placing the clone Omega in the center to symbolize their combined future.[8] In 2025, Zelentsova's created a painting, "The Travelers," of former Jedi Ahsoka Tano with several purrgil in the background, for the Art Show at Celebration Japan. The artist was inspired by the unique design of the purrgils, as well as their in-universe space-traveling abilities, and wanted to draw the scene of Tano connecting with the creatures while on her own journey. When creating the watercolor painting, Zelentsova sought to capture the contrasting colors of the visual appearance, reflecting that their appearance reminded her of koi fish, a type of fish whose symbolism is associated with strength and perseverance.[5]
