JV-P12 was a blue, box-shaped HVAC droid with two legs[1] that was forced to work in the criminal Pyke Syndicate's spice mines on the planet Kessel during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[2] In 10 BBY,[3] JV-P12 was freed from slavery when its restraining bolt was removed during a slave revolt in the mines started by the droid L3-37. Once free, JV-P12 helped destroy the Pykes' equipment by stomping on the top of one of the control panels in the mine's control center.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
JV-P12 first appeared in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story[2] and was first identified in the accompanying reference book Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The character was performed by Hassan Taj.[4]
