Bail bondsman, or simply bondsman, was a position held by an individual that brokered bounties.[2]
A Devaronian bail bondsman operated out of the lower levels of Coruscant during the Clone Wars. The intermediary offered jobs to bounty hunters and paid out upon their completion. Asajj Ventress accepted the bounty posting on the fugitive Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, who was framed for the bombing of the Jedi Temple hangar,[3] from this bondsman.[2] Later captured by Ventress, the rogue Jedi protested her, who was an infamous war criminal at the time, that she could not possibly simply deliver her to the Jedi Order. In responce, Ventress said that she could pass Ahsoka to a bondsman.[3]
