The SnowHorns are a tribe of tundra dwelling mammoths who live in SnowHorn Wastes, which is near Ice Mountain, and DarkIce Mines on Dinosaur Planet.
Appearance[]
Although their habitat is Dinosaur Planet, the SnowHorns aren't dinosaurs and closely resemble Wooly Mammoths, making them the only mammalian tribe on Dinosaur Planet. They have immense strength, but are very sluggish which leaves them vulnerable to attack. SnowHorns apparently have no problem with letting Fox ride them and have proven very useful to him, such as removing certain obstacles and guiding him through snowstorms.

Society and Culture[]
They are highly social as seen when one is upset about his Golden Root, which was stolen by the ShopKeeper, the others are also very concerned about it. They appear to have no leader and come and go as they please, but Garunda Te, the GateKeeper, does refer to the tribe as "my tribe" and they refer to him as "our leader".
The preferred food of SnowHorns is the Alpine Root, which grows in the Saurian tundra. Although Frost Weed can be handy supplement.
History[]
Plight of Sauria[]
Just after Fox met with and partnered with Prince Tricky, one SnowHorn gave Fox his first Scarab Bag and helped bring down an Ice block, in exchange for two Alpine Roots. Of course, for the duration of Fox's expedition on Dinosaur Planet, the SnowHorn Tribe were being used by General Scales as slaves in the mines, after he double crossed Belina Te when she opened the ForceField in her father's place. After saving one injured SnowHorn from attacking SharpClaws, he helped Fox get through some gates as well as encouraging Tricky's Flame Command, in exchange for some Alpine Roots. One other SnowHorn carried Fox through a blizzard while following a trail of Roots to keep up his strength.
Apariod Invasion[]
During the Aparoid Invasion, the SnowHorns probably faced the brunt of the attack from the Aparoid's, due to their massive strength, yet were fended off with very maximum casualties. It is unknown what became of the tribe afterwards. With the Aparoid Queen destroyed, the Planet was saved by the Star Fox Team.

Trivia[]
- Although dwelling on Dinosaur Planet, the SnowHorns technically aren't dinosaurs, as the Woolly Mammoth, their inspiration, were mammals, while dinosaurs are reptilian in nature, and besides which, the Wooly Mammoth came about after the Dinosaurs' extinction period.
