Kalda Chom is a local species of bizarre, obscure creatures that live on Dinosaur Planet in the vicinity of Moon Mountain Pass.

They are one of the few non-dinosaur species living on Dinosaur Planet, resembling the Warp Stone with a pair of Crab like claw arms.

Lifestyle and Habits[]
They dwell in fallen star-like crater pits, awaiting unsuspecting prey to ambush as they pass by. The crab claw hands can produce offensive energy orbs as a range attack, with fierce snapping action for close combat. Krystal's Staff cannot harm them unless Fox McCloud performs the Ground Quake to daze them into a spinning frenzy, leaving them vulnerable for Fox to strike their one weak point at the back. Defeating Kalda Choms will reward Fox with a MoonSeed.
Trivia[]
- Slaying a Kalda Chom is the only way of getting MoonSeeds, as they are not for sale at the ThornTail Store.
- Unlike most species on Dinosaur Planet, Kalda Chom appears to be incapable of speech.
- There are 13 Kalda Chom craters throughout Moon Mountain Pass. After slaying one, Fox can walk onto the pit without falling into it.
- The Kalda Chom tribe will not reveal themselves until the Krazoa God appears when he makes his plea to Fox to collect the Krazoa Spirits.
