Los Angeles Herald Examiner

The Los Angeles Herald Examiner, also referred to as the Herald Examiner, is major daily newspaper in Los Angeles during the 1980's located in Downtown LA. Irene Abe, a journalist at the Herald, operates there as she is reporting on the crack epidemic in LA. Her investigation in the crack game immediately became a discovery of the CIA smuggling cocaine just to fund an illegal war. To avoid exposing Teddy McDonald to the Cartels he has operated with, the newspaper chose to stop running the story and terminate Irene's employment.
