Avi Drexler is an Israeli drug lord who made Franklin Saint the man he is today.
Biography[]
Before the Series[]
Before he was in the cocaine game, he was a Mossad agent back in Israel up until an incident in 1972 forced him out.
During the Series[]
He first met Franklin Saint in 1983 when he sold Rob Volpe and his family bricks of yeyo. He also did business with Alejandro Usteves and Logan Miller in the kilo trade in order to fund the Contra wars in Nicaragua. After Logan OD'd, he met Alejandro's new partner, Teddy McDonald, under the alias, Reed Thompson, and showed a lack of trust for him at first. He was arrested in Season 2 only to be released later on and learned Franklin now had the plug in his absence. He then began selling arms and other assorted weapons out of his Chinatown warehouse to Teddy to ship to Nicaragua. Whenever he wasn't distributing drugs or arms, he was off hunting Nazi war criminals. His past eventually caught up to him when Mossad attempted to kill him, and would up killing his bodyguard, Yuda. He had shown that he was a soldier who moved from battlefield to battlefield. When the KGB broke into his warehouse, he was there. He killed one of the men but was knocked unconscious by Rubén, who then tortured him, interrogated him, and eventually shot him dead.
Legacy[]
Avi was a career soldier but a zero tolerance boss. He never turned to crime until the incident that destroyed his career sent him towards a new path. Though he put a lot of fear, stress, and anxiety in folks he dealt with, he meant well. After being captured by the KGB, however, he showed he had no allegiances and was looking out for himself.
