Employees of Starbucks corporate face are facing a mandate to return to the office three days a week starting in January or be fired, according to a report in Bloomberg News. As the outlet reports, new CEO Brian Niccol told employees to work from wherever they needed to, although that should usually be the office, last month. Now, a memo from inside the company states that employees who don’t return to the office can face discipline that goes as far as termination from their position. Starbucks has a hybrid work policy that applies to its roughly 3,500 corporate employees.

It is owned by West Seattle resident Jonathan Stebbin, who will also open a Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop in the space, hopefully by April 2025. Stebbin says it will serve beans from Local Goods Orcas Roast.
