After a nearly decade-long run, Two Doors Down is closing its doors. In a post on Instagram, the owners said, “The time has simply come to move on.” Its final service will be on Halloween. No cause for sadness, however. The owners wrote that this is a success story and continued to praise the neighboring businesses, its employees, landlord, and thank its customers. The LGBT and woman-owned business will have a goodbye bash on the evening of Saturday, October 26, with Buoy Beer for $5 a pint.

Ethan Stowell merges pizza shops in Ballard
James Beard-recognized chef and prolific restaurateur Ethan Stowell is closing Ballard Pizza Company, and merging it with a Frelard location that will reopen at 5205 Ballard Av.e NW. A manager tells MyBallard that the decision came because the lease on the Frelard location was up and the current Ballard location needed structural repairs, so combining the two made the most sense. It’s expected to open in November.
