Career Pathways
In the Stockpile Stewardship Program, our staff join our community via a wide range of career pathways. Many career positions are posted directly through SD through one of three SD divisions. Others are posted through one of the four discipline organizations at LLNL.
Staff in the Design Physics Division represent a diverse set of academic backgrounds, including theory, code development, and experiments. Together, their unique scientific expertise support our mission in modernizing the U.S. nuclear stockpile and reducing the threat of nuclear attack by terrorists and adversaries.
Staff in the SD Operations Division manage and maintain over 226 active scientific and engineering facilities and are responsible for developing and implementing plans, processes, and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
Staff in the SD Business Operations Division enable all levels of our organization to excel, from technical contributors to senior executives, by providing the full suite of administrative support services.
