Rivne Oblast (whiles an aw Rovno Oblast; Ukrainian: Рівненська область, translit. Rivnens’ka oblast’; an aw referred tae as Rivnenshchyna - Ukrainian: Рівненщина) is an oblast (province) o Ukraine. Its admeenistrative center is Rivne. The aurie o the region is 20,100 km²; its population (as o 2004-05-01) is 1.2 million. The Rivne Oblast wis creatit as pairt o the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic on 4 December 1939. A nuclear pouer plant is locatit in the oblast.
