Aretxabaleta is a toun in the province o Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous commonty o Basque Kintra, northren Spain.
It is locatit on the Vitoria-Bergara road, amaist adjacent tae its lairger northren neebour, the ceety o Mondragón-Arrasate, an the smawer Eskoriatza tae the sooth.

In the past, the Basque name "Aretxabaleta" wis commonly uised, baith in Spaingie an in Inglis[1] wi the Spaingie spellin, Arechavaleta. The local govrenment (ayuntamiento) decidit tae offeecially chynge the spellin tae the Basque "Aretxabaleta" on 4 Juin 1979. Their decision wis authorisit bi Spaingie central govrenment on March 3, 1981.[2]
