Yesterday was the official opening of Uptown Beer Garden, Teddy Sourias's (BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn) summertime pop-up. Take your peek here, and see it for yourself on weekdays, 4 - 9 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and till midnight Wednesdays-Fridays.
Eater told you all about chef in charge, Jonathan Petruce of the late Petruce et al. He'll be manning Uptown's brand new "bad-ass grill" big enough to roast an entire pig, nose to tail, as mentioned in this Billy Penn report. Look for backyard BBQ eats by Petruce, coupled with an impressive summery draft list featuring Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pils, Half Acre Daisy Cutter, Ballast Point Wahoo White and Sprecher Grapefruit Radler.
Happy hour goes from 4-7 p.m., daily, during which all drafts are $4, appetizers are $5, and sandwiches are $6.
