Romcom Where The Childhood Friend Won't Lose is the first episode of the Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy anime series. It was aired on 14th April,2021 on AT-X and other channels.
Sypnosis
In the winter of his freshman year of high school, Sueharu Maru fell in love with a genius novelist and classmate of the same school, Shirokusa Kachi.
Because it is the first love, only time has passed without being able to do anything.... It is a story that the boyfriend was able to be nearly done for!! Even before I confessed, I lost my heart and was depressed. Such a big burden is put on him. "Haru, let's take revenge-"
Plot
The episode begins with Sueharu talking for the first time with Shirokusa Kachi, an famous author and his classmate, about her novel, falling in love for the first time.
Some time later, Sueharu talks to his friend Tetsuhiko about his plans to confess to Shirokusa in the Confession Festival at the end of their school Cultural Festival, even with Tetsuhiko trying to convince she's way out his league, while they comment about Tetsuhiko infamy with the girls and Shirokusa shows her antisocial behavior.
After Sueharu witness Shirokusa crying alone in the library, he goes help Tetsuhiko with the Cultural Festival preparations, and the later question why he didn't date his childhood friend Kuro. Speaking on the devil, she appears, and Sueharu tries to sneak out since their relationship isn't good since he rejected her confession for being in love for Shirokusa, but Kuro said it was fake. They hear that Shirokusa already got a boyfriend, Abe Mitsuru, and Sueharu runs away.
In a river bank, Kuro shows up to comfort Sueharu and reaffirms her love for him. She proposes that they should get revenge on them for causing their emotional pain and Sueharu, taked by jealous, accept. In the next day, after watching a Abe interview about his acting career, Sueharu reunites with Kuro to device a plan and Kuro suggests they fake being dating to make Shirokusa jealous. Sueharu reluctantly accepts and Kuro uses this situation to try to seduce him, trying to kiss him to "get the deal done", but still in love for Shirokusa, he runs away for Kuro's deception.
After trying (and fail) to reunite information about any Abe's weakness or flaw, Abe confronts Sueharu, reveling that he remembers him as a "Child Prodigy Actor".
