Kuroha Shida (志田 黒羽, Shida Kuroha), also known as Kuro (クロ), is the one of main character in the Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy series. She is the childhood friend of Sueharu Maru who lives next door to him and the eldest of the Four Shida Sisters.
Appearance[]
Kuro is a short girl (4'8" tall), with straight, chestnut-coloured, medium length hair. She has a babyface whose facial expressions changes constantly.
Her voice has a clear, resonating quality, with a charm that makes people want to hear more.
She's described by her classmates as someone who, while older, still gives the impression of being younger, and is often compared with smaller animals.
Personality[]
Kuro always acts as a big sister to Sueharu and protects and takes care of him. There are moments where she wants to be spoiled, but her self-control is strong and she keeps it to herself and continues to act as a big sister.
Unfortunately, Kuro has a dark side, being a very manipulative person, always thinking about the ends, no matter the means. She's also very self-centered, not realizing how her actions can hurt the people she loves, only thinking about herself.
Kuro has a taste, so extraordinary no one could possibly understand it, usually applying weird seasoning on her food.
Background[]
Kuro is a childhood friend of Sueharu Maru and eventually develop feelings for him. She always causes him trouble, but wishes to protect him as big sister. Kuro ends up confessing to him, but he rejects her as he loves a different girl.
A month later, she states she only confessed due to a lost bet, but as Sueharu feels sad learning his love interest has a boyfriend, Kuro comforts him and again reveals that she loves him. She convinces him to act as a couple and get revenge on his love interest Shirokusa Kachi.
Etymology[]
- The name Kuroha means "black" (黒) (kuro) and "feather" (羽) (ha).
- Like her sisters, Kuro's name has a color reference ("Black"), being it her nickname meaning, in opposition to Shiro's nickname.
Trivia[]
Clover Hairclips
- According to Kuro, her name actually comes from "clover". She also wears a four-leaf clover hairclips. It means "good fortune", "think of me", "promise" and "revenge".
