Madman Entertainment

Madman Entertainment is an Australian owned company which distributes Japanese anime and manga to Australia and New Zealand. Its headquarters are located in East Melbourne, Victoria.

In 2006 Madman Entertainment began releasing the One Piece TV series on DVD using the same content as the US 4Kids DVDs released by Viz Media.^[1] Madman planned to release an uncut version of the series in alongside the 'TV Version', but did not receive the uncut materials.^[2] Madman released the same eleven volumes as Viz, finishing this release in early 2008.^[3]

Later that year, Madman released an uncut bilingual DVD of the movie Episode Of Alabasta, this time containing the same content as the Funimation release. From 2010 Madman began re-releasing the series using Funimation's uncut version on releases matching Funimation's Voyage sets (renamed 'Collections' and not following Funimation's season designations). Additional uncut also movies followed, again matching Funimation's releases.
