Peek Inside Hot Tin, a New LGD Bar With the Best View in Town

Now open on Pontchartrain Hotel's rooftop

The historic Pontchartrain Hotel is up and running after a swanky $10 million revamp from AJ Capital— an investor group including Archie Manning's son Cooper Manning— which has restored the 106-room beauty back to its illustrious heyday, and then some.

Here's a look inside the hotel's Hot Tin rooftop bar, one of the hottest new boozing destinations in New Orleans, with incredible views of the Crescent City Connection and downtown, champagne, and cool drinks.

The space was created by AJ Capital's in-house designer, inspired by a vintage artist loft and Tennessee Williams, who supposedly lived in the hotel while writing A Street Car Named Desire. There are tons of old photos, postcards, games and books you can actually sort through, and in some cases, take home.

The drinks program, overseen by bar manager Benton Bourgeois, features seasonal sippers including a signature daiquiri and house-favorite The Skyliner, a refreshing summer swizzle with a touch of Campari and bitters to keep things interesting.

Check back on Monday for a look at the stunning resurrection of the Caribbean Room.

Hot Tin hours: Wed & Thurs, 4 p.m. to midnight. Friday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday, 2 p.m. to midnight.
