Over at The Advocate this week, Ian McNulty reports on some new and upcoming breakfast/lunch joints that are sure to please all you early birds. And since Eater has already rounded up Fall's Most Anticipated Openings, let's now turn our attention to Fall's Hottest Openings for Breakfast. From CBD to Central City, check 'em out after the jump.

Address: 935 Gravier St.
Situation: This much-anticipated restaurant from Pelican Club alum/cousins Britten Knickerbocker and David Hughes offer grab and go breakfast, lunch fare, craft cocktails and happy hour specials, a coffee program from French Truck. Plus, they're open for all Saints home games on Sundays.
Status: Certified Open

Address: 900 Royal St.
Situation: This is Cafe Amelie's breakfast/lunch annex, serving pies coming from Uptown hotness P's & Q's and a healthy selection of sandwiches, salads, panini waffle melts, and deli grab-n-go galore.
Status: Certified Open

Address: 1409 OC Haley Blvd.
Situation: Creator of the Velvet espresso empire, Tamara Muro, opened Velvet Central earlier this year, but now she's transforming the space into a 'small plates breakfast bar' that hopefully will feature her beloved housemade pop tarts and teacakes, along with heartier fare in the a.m. and also serve as a barista training grounds in the p.m.

Address: 1443 N. Dorgenois
Situation: McNulty reports that Tulane architecture prof Dan Etheridge and biz partner Shana Sassoon "are developing the space as a counter service breakfast and lunch joint with an espresso bar. All seating will be outside on new covered decks extending from the historic building" that's only 300 square feet and has a pretty rad pagoda roof.
