Toad Town is the capital of the Mushroom Kingdom, which is run by Princess Peach. It is also a plaza for the residents and oncoming tourists whom visit the Mushroom Kingdom. Princess Peach's Castle is right above Toad Town. Some games include the castle but not the entire town itself. Most of the residents in this area are toads as indicated by its name.
