Nintendo

In even simpler terms, the Nintendo Wii is the next video game console being produced by Nintendo and is set to come out around November. Nintendo is taking a bold move by ignoring the video gaming's views that better graphics equals a better console by offering a new way of playing games. This is done through the use of its revolutionary controller. It looks and feels like a remote control and all of its movement (in any axis that you choose) is detected and interpretted by the console. The controller features a port for accessories to be plugged in to (analog stick, dance pad, bongos) and can also be used to plug the controller into a "shell" (light gun and older styles of controllers.) The console can connect to the internet via wifi and be used to play online games and to download and rent games from Nintendo's previous consoles. The internet can also be used to change aspects of games, much like a patch, or to store letters and other random tid bits. Nintendo is already gaining a massive amount of support from not only third parties but from their competition. Asides from Bill Gates, almost all of Microsoft seems to be backing Nintendo's ideas. This is more or less done in an effort to beat out the other competition Sony, which has also shown a decent amount of interest in Nintendo's technology.

P.S. I like this idea. I'm a huge nintendo fanboy; haven't even ever touched a dual schock that i can remember. I've been looking up Wii (and Revolution) info since last year's e3 when i heard about it so i feel somewhat obligated to contribute in whatever way i can. just send me an email if you need anything specific worked on or kept up to date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ganondorf (talkcontribs)

I have a question here. Is nintendo going to allow people to custom order different colored case. like something different then the red platinum, black, lime green, and white. lets say Orange. is there going to be a possiblility of choices here --69.130.243.57

Classic Controller[]

Classic Controller redirects here, shouldn't it have its own page?Sgtcook 20:53, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

It certainly should. If someone doesn't create a page within a couple of days I might just make one!   Bentendo  Talk

Hardware[]

"The specs have been said to be comparable to an AthlonXP 2400+ or an AthlonXP 3000+ with a possible clock speed between 2.0 Ghz to 2.2 Ghz. The GPU is comparable to an ATi Radeon X1400 and X1600 and the RAM Speed is said to be at 640Mhz." I'd really like to see a reference on this because this sounds like complete and utter crap. Not only does this go against everything any other source states, but it also sounds ridiculous knowing 360 isn't much faster - presuming these figures are correct.

I'm not sure who put that there but I'll take your word for it and delete it.   Bentendo  Talk

The Wii can connect to the DS for a few games like Pokemon Battle Revolution. ~Rocketslime_1_1 (Talk | Wall | Contribs) 21:15,3/26/2014

I've thought about the DS peripheral symbol too, maybe the DS could've been a controller for the Wii? Police2k (talk) 16:09, September 24, 2020 (UTC)(police2k)
