Rachael Lillis (July 8, 1969[1] - August 10, 2024) was an American voice actress and scriptwriter. She studied acting in Boston and New York City and has appeared in various theater productions, animated series and independent films. In Nintendo, Lillis was best known for Misty, Jessie and Jigglypuff in Pokémon the Series for the first eight seasons and movies and the latter in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Biography[]
Lillis attended Smith College in which she was a premed student. She studied acting in Boston and New York City and appeared in various theater productions, animated series and independent films. She was originally based in New York City, but moved to Los Angeles in 2013.
In May 2024, a GoFundMe campaign created by Lillis's sister announced that Lillis had developed breast cancer. Several of her fellow voice actors shared the campaign to help raise money for her care. Lillis died from the disease in Los Angeles, on August 10, 2024, at the age of 55.[2]
