Mutant League Hockey is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Though the game was released for the Sega Genesis, the Super NES version was canceled.
Gameplay[]
The game is meant to be a silly, stylized, "zombie-fied" version of the sport of ice hockey. Mutants and ghouls play hockey, losing body parts in a gory fashion. There are also booby traps, obstacles and an assortment of weapons and items that affect gameplay such as ice pits, exploding pucks and chainsaws. The referees can also be bribed.
Intended Release[]
The intended release date was to be Fall 1994, as stated in the Pak Watch section of Nintendo Power V57. The magazine even had a short write-up on the game and said they would print screenshots in a future issue. But the game was ultimately cancelled.
