Masayoshi Tanimura is the current Chairman and CEO of HAL Laboratory, and one of the founding members of the company.
In June 1999, Tanimura took office as the President of HAL after Satoru Iwata left for Nintendo. He kept on that position until he was appointed as Chairman of the Board & CEO in June 2015, with Satoshi Mitsuhara succeeding him as President.
