Humongous Entertainment is an American developer founded by former LucasArts developer, Ron Gilbert and Shelley Day. They were known for developing children's adventures games like Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam. They were acquired by GT Interactive in 1996, who was latter acquired by Infogrames in 1999. In June 2001 Infogrames laid off 40 percent of the staff and would later be rebranded as Atari Inc. in 2003. In June 2005 Atari Inc. sold the company to Infogrames S.A. and it was closed down in August and later it was transitioned to a new company called, Humongous Inc. When Atari S.A. went bankrupt in 2013, Tommo acquired the Humongous brand and partnered with UFO Interactive to rerelease the games on the Switch
