Cross Male

Cross, a Human in Xenoblade Chronicles X and the protagonist of the game.

Humans are a recurring species in the Xenoblade series who have varying degrees of importance to the plot of the different games. They are usually an ancient, nearly extinct species that created incredible artifacts that are key elements of the series' storyline.

Xenoblade Chronicles[]

Very few humans are seen in Xenoblade Chronicles and the two that are relevant to the story, Zanza and Meyneth, lost their humanity during the creation of the game's universe and are now god-like beings. This is also the reason why the Homs, the High Entias, the Giants and the Machinas are very similar to humans, they were created in the image of their creators who used to be humans themselves. The Monado is also a human creation, which is one of the three sentient computers used to create the universe of the first Xenoblade.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2[]

the main setting of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Alrest is located on Earth and as such is the place where the humanity seen in the first game came from. This means that Alrest is full of ancient human technology, all life in Alrest was created by The Architect who used to be human for starter, which explain why most of the sentient races in Alrest are very human-like. The Blades are also made from Core Crystals, which were originally made to serves as replacement for human brain cells. Some humans are still around in the Land of Morytha where they were twisted into what would be known as the Guldo by the early Core Crystal experiments. The Artifices and the First Low Orbit Station are also technology left by humanity. Pneuma and Logos are also the two other sentient computers used along with Ontos to create the universe of the first game.

Xenoblade Chronicles X[]

Xenoblade Chronicles X is the game with the most humans, they are the main protagonists of the game and most of them were killed during the destruction of the Earth and the remaining ones settled down on Mira. They are not organic however and used a supercomputer to store the genetic data and memories of 20 million humans. The humans seen in the games are androids called Mimeosome made to replicate human biology the most accurately possible while they are remotely controlled by the Lifehold Core. It is however revealed that the system that was supposed to control the Mimesome was destroyed during the crashlanding and that a supernatural phenomenon found on Mira is the reason why humanity is even alive.
