Gameplay Modes[]

Free Play Mode[]

This mode allows you to play a match vs 3 AI players with your choice of rule sets. You can choose a character to play as beforehand.

Challenge Mode[]

This mode gives you 15 total missions each with a special goal with increasing difficulty. You can unlock several characters and some small extra features by making progress in this mode.

Score Quick Quiz[]

This mode gives you a Mahjong hand and you have to quickly answer out of a choice of 4 answers the question related to the hand. There is also a short time limit. You will get more points the more you get right and the faster you answer. You can also choose a character for this mode.

Other Features[]

Multiplayer with Download Play[]

You can use download play to play 4 player matches of Mahjong with 3 friends who also have Nintendo DS consoles and they don't need the game to play.

Instructions[]

Instructions on how to play and how to count scores is included as an option on the main menu and within the pause menu of all single player modes.
